China should knows one thing: " A thousand lie to be a truth isn't the same of one real truth". An old Chinese quote explains that.

A step in the right direction for Asia. Follow the European model not the US one.

I wonder if this will remove the 220% tariffs China has on Australian wine, and if it removes the bans on other Australian trade items that China has blocked in contravention of it's Free trade agreement with Australia. I am guessing it will not as China is an unreliable trading partner and does not adhere to agreements it makes.

Unlike Us , the next president can tear up any agreement, look what happen to NAFTA.

Yep, if you all do as China tells you all will be well, just don’t even think of having any freedom once they have you by the short and curlies!

well it will have too, as China hasnt joined yet, theyre in the process of joining and every member in the block has to agree to allowing new members to join

You are thinking of the CPTPP which China has applied to join. This article is about a different trade pact that includes both China and Australia called RCEP and came into effect on Jan 1, 2022.

So the game is to give as much power to China and then complain on why it got so powerful? nonsensical.
