"Private sector growth", using taxpayers money right? Isnt that what you and Abe's stimulus been all about?

To be fair he was probably drunk his actions as finance minister have yet to come close to fiscal management. Now after giving Buisness huge tax cuts while raising workers tax he wants them to work more for less wages and produce "safe and delicious foods" the man has dementure and an Alcholholic problem.

Yep. Just what has been working for decades. Private sector growth has really done wonders for the people. The decades of continuous private sector growth has led to increased wages, reduced hours, an end to poverty, and fewer workers rights violation.

aso could also paint himself white and black and call himself a zebra and neither would be true.

Japan is still littered with zombie companies that need to be killed.

Someone should urge him to collect his pension go away and die swathed in his golden coat on a futon of diamonds with a cup noodle on his chest. His legacy is a huge part of the population living on cup noodles. Good job Mr Finance minister, does the massive debt get burnt with you?

Japan is still littered with zombie companies that need to be killed.

I think a lot of the owners of those companies are big pals with their local LDP oligarchs, so I don't see that happening. Getting things done like actually realising "sustainable private sector-led growth" or whatever doesn't matter if the LDP election-winning machine keeps running.

Some sales talk. Poor japanese citizens.

"He vowed to redouble efforts..."

For all Aso's side-mouthing about this and that, mocking France for it's "difficult numbers", the math and Kanji wizard seems to forget that zero times two is still zero.

build a social security system that would benefit all generations.

I'd suggest that Japan need not a social security system that would benefit all generations, but rather one that can adequately support all residents of Japan when they find themselves in times of trouble. For most of the time, people will be able to work and provide for their own benefit, all by themselves.

Citing a massive stimulus package Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's cabinet approved last month, Aso said the package "aims to bring about sustainable and private sector-driven economic growth through the strengthening of productivity and growth power of the Japanese economy."

I don't think it is the case that a massive "stimulus" package from the public sector will result in private sector-driven economic growth because, well, Japan is emperical evidence. Private sector growth is more likely to be seen if such stimulus packages are abolished, forcing people to move into areas of work that are of more validity so that they can earn money that way. This has been the experience in places where government subsidies have been cut in the past.
