Well that's an awfully light way of ending the article. I understand some peoples concern about the past and wanting Japan to apologize but to me this is a great thing. It shows two countries moving past the disagreements and conflicts of their history and moving forward in creating stable, healthy relationships. Kudos to Australia and Japan.

Australia is making a great job, in few days Canberra get important ties with SK and Japan, Australia can be leader of a sort of NATO of Asia withouth US. I think a regional containment alliance that include vietnam,philiphines and Indonesia also.

The only countries that are demanding that Japan apologize for WWII are ones that already got apologies way back in 1965 and 1972.
