LOL... Cheese burgers and three TVs. That is hilarious! He did eat Cheese burgers with Abe right?

I am not bashing POTUS. Just Scrote review of the book is pretty funny. Cause it sounds to be realistic.

I read this book and found it quite tedious and repetitive, going on and on and on about some feud between Bannon and Ivanka and her husband. I think the main points made about Trump were 1) he doesn't read anything and 2) he goes to bed early and watches 3 TVs at once whilst eating cheeseburgers. That was about it.

It wasn’t any better when politicians were running things.

To really understand who DJT is you need to be fluent in English, be bigly versed in 'Mercan culture and have followed the crooked career path of that orange pisher, which, of course means that the Japanese, even after reading the J-translation of Wolff's blunt hatchet job, will be left none the wiser, scratching their heads at the withering portrait of a rudderless administration with a hapless, flailing Chauncey Gardiner for POTUS at the helm. What's the Japanese for "So it goes!"?

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

@ganbare:You ignore Japanese language version and telling how Japanese think!

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Amazon is selling Japanese language version. That is full with baka actions. Ikegami translated for Japanese readers.

That. Is over. In USA, stories of his friendship with porno actress before election and hiding His relatives and Russian stories are full now. Gate confessed.

Oh wait this is his exposure, my bad I though this was the book BY Donald Trump.

Slightly more dignity than the toilet paper has, then.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

I can't wait until Mr T brings out his own auto biography, "my first day at the white house",,, ( first page) the cat sat on the mat...........

Meh.

Partisan book. For a partisan world.

Those that love Trump / voted for Trump, love him and will hate this book.

Those that detest Trump / voted for Hillary, hate him and will love this book.

Interestingly, following its release in the U.S., many of those that supported Clinton and hate Trump have distanced themselves from this book because so much of it appears to be, at best, exaggerations.

Always interesting to read these types of books, though.... but will not be enriching this author's bank account to do so... will wait for it to be in library, both the English version and the Japanese version.

You need to look up the definition of the word fact. It is a fact that "everyone " that I spoke to not one of them were happy Trump won the election. It's the truth not BS.

I was in Japan last year when the USA made the biggest mistake of all time by electing the biggest blow hard of all time

As a Brit, I told some Japanese people the idea that many Brits liked Trump’s victory as it relegated us to second place on the stupidest country list after Brexit. Not my idea but an interesting observation.

It’s one of the few jokes(?) I’ve told Japanese people which all immediately got.

Trump is as close to universal comedy as you can get.

The book is already out of date. he is made of so many bad decisions since it was published so who wants to buy such an outdated book

You spoke to some people and that Illicits what you define as fact? Man you really need to look the definition of the word.

Trump is a doofus I agree.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

I read that when it came out. The book sucks.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Probably full of lies and half truths, just like the mainstream media.

-5 ( +4 / -9 )

How much is the book? I have an English digital copy. Read a bit and never opened it again.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

@domtoidi, ha ha yeah it's like all the non-Americans who have spent years complaining about life in Obama's America--how would they know enough to comment about it?

Must be some deep seated pathology that makes them rail against modern "western" society which is, shocker, fundamentally liberal. Too radicalized to be credible.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

100000 copies? Japanese don’t care about politics. It will sell 10000 copies, mostly to libraries or Japanese wives of foreigners.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Is there anyone more pathetic than someone claiming they won’t read a book because of (____), but they haven’t read it so how do they know?

It’s like complaining about a movie they haven’t seen.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

And what a recovery it was!

("Barfed-out")

You're "barfed out" that the Obama administration stopped the economy from collapsing?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Perfect capture of Trump's narcissistically twisted grasp of reality.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Gabare Japan! thinks foreign students/backpackers/workers are going to flock to bookstores to buy this Japanese language edition? And they will magically snap their fingers to acquire the high level of Japanese language needed to actually read it? I want to see if this latest gaggle of newbies is just a one day fluke or if the brilliant insights keep coming day after day.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Mainly they are glad that congress has control of him and has not let him ruin th Obama recovery.

And what a recovery it was!

("Barfed-out")

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Well, the US guys at the office are "barfed-out" by Trump (I hope it is alright to use "barfed-out"), and me and other Japanese in my circle think Trump is a kook. Mainly they are glad that congress has control of him and has not let him ruin th Obama recovery.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Whole lot of speculation going on about whether or not Trump is liked/respected in Japan. I think it's safe to say that there are both Japanese that like him, and those that hate him. I think it's also safe to say that no one here has actually posted anything beyond personal anecdotes, and therefore at this moment we have no idea whether the Japanese as a group mostly love him, hate him, or feel somewhere in the middle. Anyone actually have any real numbers?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Funny... living in Japan... not a single person I know personally has any respect for Trump at all.

Funny... living in Japan I know many many people that respect and like Trump. He has stood up to almost impossible odds and ever so slowly his approval ratings are rising.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

I bet his bank account loves Trump now.

I bet it does! We get to find out just how messed up the Trump administration is, and he makes a lot of money. It's a win-win situation.

Oh wait, you weren't condemning capitalism were you? If you were, I misunderstood your post and my reply needs to be rewritten. Let me know if you're one of them socialists, and I'll write my reply accordingly.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Tabloid fodder. A funny read by a desperate author that made a ton of money. I bet his bank account loves Trump now.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

you'd think in asia you can get away from the mud pit of liberal and conservatives ideologic struggle, but no. lets drag local people into this.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

I wont read left-wing biased in ANY language. Fake news.

Fair enough. But now we know that you are someone who doesn't care about balance, gets all his news from a single bias, and therefore is extreme partisan.

Makes it easier to discuss with posters when we realize they are only playing for a team, and not for the truth.

14 ( +16 / -2 )

I wont read left-wing biased in ANY language. Fake news.

I generally find reading a book before dismissing it is a good policy.

12 ( +13 / -1 )

Did you compare English version and Japanese version? Ikegami emphasized Trump's baka actions.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

@ganbare: Get Japanese translation version and read in Jaanese language. Translator filled full of Trump's baka story translation.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

It seems Japanese have to bear such a arrogant president until next one who hopefully is not Trump.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

I haven’t come across too much like or dislike.

In my experience, Japanese people find him comical and clownish more than anything else. I remember one of my coworkers asking me why the hell he is constantly talking about the size of his hands.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Read in English. You will know why Japanese tell he is baka.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

Totally agree extanker. People above commenting that most admire Trump... my experience is different... not everyone feels the same. I don't really care about reading anything about the guy, good or bad, but yes this is an anti-Trump book that he has tossed cookies over himself.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

I haven't met any Japanese people who have expressed that they found Trump anything other than a boor, but that said I don't really ask either, so he doesn't come up in conversation much.

10 ( +13 / -3 )

Funny... living in Japan... not a single person I know personally has any respect for Trump at all.

And everyone I know in Japan preferred Trump. Funny how that works isn't it? Not everyone's opinion is the same.

But judging from some of these comments, I'm going to assume that at least a couple of you aren't actually aware this is an anti-Trump book...

17 ( +22 / -5 )

Lots of fiction in this book.

Could well be. Could also be lots of facts.

But that's to be expected from a reality TV star with a shady business history, a man who's not afraid to say something contradicting what he'd just said, a man who's a master of deception, a darling of the media, a man who's created more fake news than the lowest tabloid.

18 ( +19 / -1 )

I saw the book on the shelves on the first floor at Kinokuniya Bookstore in Shinjuku yesterday. Nobody was paying any attention to it. Just fashion magazines.

13 ( +14 / -1 )

Most Japanese DO admire President Trump (maybe not love him just yet). He is the only President who has promised to protect Japan in every event of attack from North Korea and China, including with nuclear defense. PM Abe and Trump are the two strongest World Leaders now, standing up for freedom and democracy, it is no wonder they get along better than any other leaders in the world.

So, I doubt this book of rumors will sell well here. Probably just to foreign left-wingers.

Japanese people loves Donald Trump

So, them never will hate him

So you are saying that they are all the same and not individuals? It's not possible that some Japanese may be pro-Trump and some may be anti-Trump?

13 ( +16 / -3 )

They like being entertained. They will be hit as well if he not stopped soon.

The toilet paper has more dignity than this particular manuscript.
