Why don’t China and Russia take the first steps forward?

Because U.S. owns much more nuclear warheads than China or Chosen

Ok, what about russia who has more than the US?

and the U.S. has been using nuclear weapons twice.

1945 called and they want their talking point back.

And Russia is definitely should not make nuclear arms talking again when a full scale war is ongoing in Ukraine. The U.S. is a belligerent, this is aiding the enemy !

Ukraine is a country under assault for no gd reason. They deserve the aid of all adult countries.

For Russia-China-Chosen blog, their leader must seriously upgrading their nuclear arsenals both quality and quantity.

Russia already has the most by far. Are you suggesting they need 2x what everyone else has?

JOE BIDEN &his clique has no intention of nuclear reduction but looking for a bigger supremacy,

Last I heard our count remains the same.

in the history of coldwar, America and her European allies were liars, they took the opportunity of Soviet Union dissolved by expanding eastward

Sometimes it is good to get things in writing.

No need for prediction, it's plain common sense.

Thanks for replying. Prediction or common sense doesn't matter. Japan won't sign NPT anyway, that's why "Nihon Hidankyo" has an obligation to protest with the incumbent Japanese prime Minister or protesting US armed forces in Japan, they can be nuclear capable at anytime and that's why Japan is in a crossfire position.

Why don’t China and Russia take the first steps forward?

Because U.S. owns much more nuclear warheads than China or Chosen and the U.S. has been using nuclear weapons twice. If the US commander in Chief gone mentally unstable like Donald Trump in 2021, a nuclear conflict is possible.

There seems to be some confusion between NPT and TPNW. NPT was already signed and ratified by both the U.S. and Japan in the 70s. Japan nor the U.S have signed the more comprehensive TPNW. This ratification would be a big first step, but without this, any talk of nuclear peace is just talk; Japan included.

Then America should not ask for any discussion with China, Russia or North Korea for arms reduction or transparency. The answer of "NO" is certain and repeating.

Why is it America’s responsibility? Why don’t China and Russia take the first steps forward? They should both offer to give up their nuclear weapons, in which case I’m sure Japan would be more than happy to sign the NPT

U.S is never going to tell Japan, or allies to sign NPT when many of them are protected by U.S. nuclear umbrella.

Sure,as predicted! I

No need for prediction, it's plain common sense.

But there is absolutely nothing wrong with nuclear power wanting to discuss limitations and reductions with other nuclear powers.

U.S is never going to tell Japan, or allies to sign NPT when many of them are protected by U.S. nuclear umbrella.

Sure,as predicted! It would be a very shocking news if the Japanese put a signature on NPT paper. Then America should not ask for any discussion with China, Russia or North Korea for arms reduction or transparency. The answer of "NO" is certain and repeating.

Japan and South Korea were the two countries most likely to get nuclear arms if their leaders choose to. Both of them has very large nuclear industries and large high grade radioactive material storages, they have the potential can produce many nuclear warheads. Also Abe-san had a very bad idea for Japan by participating that "Sharing tactical nuclear weapons program".For the "Russia-China-Chosen"blog, the above dangers are legitimate enough to put both countries on target list !

This man recommending a person for a Nobel Peace Prize takes the cake for chutzpah. Disgusting!

Then tell Japan to sign NPT, that will be great !

The U.S is never going to tell Japan, or any of it;s any allies to sign the NPT when many of them are protected by the U.S. nuclear umbrella.

Despite the comments here referring to countries that bear involvement, my suggestion that the present US gov’t is doing nothing to avoid war is somehow considered “off topic” by moderators. Strange.

Meanwhile the US continues to arm nations bombing civilians-hypocritical or what?

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

I wonder how the leaders of China, Russia and North Korea reacted to this. Would they merely say that conferring the Nobel Peace Prize on the anti-nuclear weapons organization is a grandiose political show?

I want to know.

Dangerous people.

The stable genius with a big ABrain is the danger. Why cant you see it?

The train has already left the station a while ago...

There is a lot being done (and that remains to be done) about reducing nuclear proliferation. Giving up and saying there is nothing to be done is just the easy way out for every problem.

.... Says the master after signing a multibillion dollar package to send more lethal arms to Israel to proceed with the genocide in the Middle East. The quintessence of hypocrisy, this is Japan's main ally.

Greetings to the award winner who mentioned Gaza many times and drew attention to the mountain with his words.

That's great and all but nuclear deterrence has never been more necessary.
