Probably to reassure allies that Blinken will only bend over slightly to China when he pays homage to the CCP shortly.

Why would anyone listen to that poindexter?

Does Blinken, Biden or the US look like people that bend over for China these days? I believe some sources are in order if you say they are.

Taiwan, they bend over backwards with MBS

Yeah this guy just exudes power, confidence and competence doesn’t he?

Actually he does. Ten years of taking out the dictatorship trash.

So call experts on USA political on this thread have totally miss-understand most important part of this statement. They stop allow the president to head important meeting. They are sending a stand in. His handlers only allowing Biden meets and greets for now on. This means they have to offer up an other candidate very soon. And these democrat are that stupid that the candidate they offer up will be Clinton again.

-7 ( +6 / -13 )

I'm confused,

"First-ever"

Deepen collaboration on key regional/global issues

Bickering about the timeline of the Chinese "spy" base in Cuba

So no other presidents have ever commissioned the trilateral collaboration: Japan/Phil/S.K. OR is it the "first-ever" with this administration?

How vague can you be?

These leaders sound like kids arguing in the park. Current admin sure go out of their way to muddy former admin's reputation.

A: It was upgraded when you were in charge.

B: No, it wasn't.

A: Yes, it was.

B: I would remember that, if it was.

So call experts on USA political on this thread have totally miss-understand most important part of this statement. They stop allow the president to head important meeting. They are sending a stand in.

"President Joe Biden is dispatching White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan to Tokyo this week for talks with his counterparts from Japan, Philippines and South Korea."

His "countrerparts" refer to Jake Sullivan not Joe Biden. The Presidents and PM of the other nations are not attending. You have totally misunderstood this article.

More engagement and collaboration between friends and allies. That is a good thing and when it is occurring on multiple levels it is much more comprehensive and effective.

Those complaining are simply anti alliance and anti West/Asia/Pacific. Are the complaints because others are not in this group of friends? Or is it just because it is based on their hate for Japan, or the US or even just US democrats currently running the US government? Whatever it is, it will not deter these nations from coming together and working in unison on area's of mutual concern and interest.

Blinken, Sullivan, Biden and Nuland, they are all a rotten bunch.

Don't be so obviously ridiculous. Mr. Sullivan is going on a two day trip to talk to his counterparts who are national security advisors. You don't send a President to conduct talks with other nation's lower level officials. It is not a case of Mr. Sullivan conducting talks with the PM of Japan and President of South Korea.

"First-ever"

You are easily confused then. From the article:

“the first-ever trilateral meeting of the Japanese, Philippine, and U.S. national security advisers"

Now are you still confused?

China spybase in Cuba...

They tried to run Elon Musk out of town, whilst Tiktok helping to run CCP agenda everywhere in USA...

CRRC and union cosiness...

The Biden administration has yet to prove it's not controlled by China money (read Wall st moneys parked in China).

Seriously, picking a fight with Russia when China is riffling through the free and suppressed world?

Established under Trump. Got it.

They tried to run Elon Musk out of town, whilst Tiktok helping to run CCP agenda everywhere in USA...

Elon Musk is a CCP stooge, making all of his cars there. Republicans can ban Tiktok anytime.

CRRC and union cosiness...

Sounds like a non-issue or one that can be addressed through stimulating domestic manufacturing.

The Biden administration has yet to prove it's not controlled by China money (read Wall st moneys parked in China).

Well we all know Ivanka got some sweetheart trademarks from China.

Seriously, picking a fight with Russia when China is riffling through the free and suppressed world?

Here we come to the really important matter: you can't identify correctly who started a war and who Russia's allies are. This is why responsible politicians say the surrender crowd has got to go.

Like spy ballon, was Trumped notified? Biden is now aware AND does nothing, fobbing it off as 'Trump', sigh...

Elon Musk is a CCP stooge, making all of his cars there. Republicans can ban Tiktok anytime

Elon navigates geo-politics, that's why Tesla is the ONLY foreign company operating in China without a CCP partner. Unlike GM. Republicans did try to ban Tiktok...

Sounds like a non-issue

If you don't care about CCP whiteanting of safety, labor rights etc.

Well we all know Ivanka got some sweetheart trademarks from China.

This is a non issue. The west should be cheering on any win it gets, you prefer the opposite? ie let Apple be shafted by a CCP shell company (google Apple trademark China).

you can't identify correctly who started a war and who Russia's allies are

But you can avoid starting it in the first place. I'm no Trump fan, but at least I can appreciate Putin didn't start the invasion under Trump.

USA WAS the unchallenged pre-eminence global power BEFORE Obama/Biden. This afforded peace and stability for Japan, Taiwan, SKorea, Singapore etc. to rise, peacefully, and lets not forget China either. Obama/Biden came along, China started contesting - silence. The Obama Asia pivot became a symbol of USA impotence, China started treating the South China Sea as a private lake, nothing out of Obama/Biden, total silence.

The pattern continues....if you can't see it, no point discussing further. Can you imagine what Asia would look like if China was a pre-eminence power, and unchallenged?

Ah so it's only corruption when it involves the other guy. Good to know.

But you apparently can't grasp that Trump behaved as a Russian asset, so that is no real security. Also Biden didn't start the war.

I can't help it if the Republican team hasn't held the presidency in 15 years except for the brief stint of Trump (who lost the popular vote). Just admit that Russian asset Trump is no real security against the China-Russian axis.

Sources or it didn't happen. Also floor vote somewhere or it didn't happen.

...sigh, can I have my 5 minutes back? All over congress, main stream media, tv, and you're asking for source?

What part of

The ban faced a series of legal challenges and never came into force.

do you not understand? It would never have flown legally. Apparently you don't get your five minutes back because you are spouting nonsense.

We need to address the big fat elephant in the room.

I just watched Biden give a speech barley comprehendible. His spoken English, I can not understand what the mans saying...

How can DNC look at themselves in the mirror? Taking advantage of this poor old man.

God save the Queen. Good god man. She is dead.

With choices between Trump and Biden. The world is verging on impending doom.

Biden at least has credible advisers putting papers in front of him. Most effective president of this century.
