Oh great LDP, have you no shame? how can you stand there smiling when “Less than 3% of Japanese firms exiting Russia; lowest among G7: survey“?

LOL !!..

U.S. officials have long argued that China's infrastructure initiative traps receiving countries in debt and that the investments benefit China more than their hosts.

Yeah, the IMF did no such thing.

The blind leading the sighted…

Biden condemned Russia's actions as "more of their barbarism," and stressed that allies need to remain firm even as the economic reverberations from the war take a toll around the globe in inflation, food shortages and more.

Remain 'Firm'??? Really? For Germany to continue funding the barbarism? NO, it's time to change, to be on the right side of history, NOT to follow USA into a political point scoring excercise at the expense of humanity. Remaining firm, at this stage, is to accept an invitation from Putin to play his game.

-4 ( +11 / -15 )

Why the heck is Ursula Vindaloo even there at the meeting? The EU is just about irrelevant having no power to change anything.

-15 ( +7 / -22 )

The G7 corporate owned oligarchs get their lineup but they are united with the Russian oligarchs in their financial exploitation mechanisms and disregard for the populace of their nations.

They just don't have to skulk around like Putin and the Russian oligarchs now. Nice pic.

If Biden really was leading the G7 summit, as this article seems to imply, then I think they are in trouble. He barely seems to know what's going on. Is this really the best the US has to offer?

Meanwhile, Putin has reached Kyiv and is starting to shell the crap out of it.

That round table photo sums up Kishida's and thereby Japan's presence in G7 so well.

-3 ( +13 / -16 )

in other words be ready to pay for your economy selfdestruction.

be "proud" and pay dearly for your "western values".

-6 ( +9 / -15 )

The photo far above is like a snap shot capturing happy kindergarten kids on an excursion.

...and Biden face says 'who cut the cheese?'

-4 ( +5 / -9 )

Kishida looks like a kid in Disneyland…

smh…

exactly! and Kishida, like Abe just looks so happy being included in and photographed with the western leaders. Pathetic

-3 ( +14 / -17 )

Why no mask Kishida? The hypocrisy of the Japanese government and willingness of the Japanese to follow on is staggering.

what do you suggest the rest of the world does? just allows Vlad the mad to invade his neighbour and take over the country??

4 ( +10 / -6 )

Kishida at the G7 letting it be known with his counterparts that mask wearing is no longer necessary, take note the subservient people of Japan.

7 ( +14 / -7 )

saving the world for democracy looks like fun!!!!! dear oh dear!

-4 ( +5 / -9 )

G7 are the people who want the WAR and finance the WAR with our taxes

Curb Russia's ability to wage war

As you all can see they definitely have not curbed Russia's ability to wage war !

Ukraine cast a shadow over the gathering

All the photos they look like their having a wonderful time and not at all what i would expert from sincerely concerned people .

One minute Boris praises Germany and want to get a room whilst ignoring France ,the next minute Boris is holding hands with a new NATO member candidate.

Bunch of playboys !

Get the gold and rule the world.

Cowboy mentality.

I knew they would start the attack on Kyiv again .

Say goodbye to the Embassies there !

Johnson, for his part, urged fellow leaders not to give in to "fatigue."

There's no "war fatigue", only desperate Russian attempts to invent one.

1 ( +8 / -7 )

"Russia, Russia, Russia" stopped working. Only 19% of Americans believe the country is heading in the right direction. Biden is a calamity for America and the free world. Which is good for some people, however.

2 ( +7 / -5 )

There's no "war fatigue", only desperate Russian attempts to invent one.

So Boris johnson is already spreading Russian propaganda at the meeting?

-5 ( +4 / -9 )

Nice setting! Not sure about the people though.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

They have to come up with a new name since there are 9 people representing more than 7 countries. It's not G7 anymore.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

The photo far above is like a snap shot capturing happy kindergarten kids on an excursion.

I miss kindergarten. ToT

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

And just how are they going to "cap fuel prices?"

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Shima,Japan is irrelevant

-1 ( +7 / -8 )

Last I checked Indians simply love gold. Expect rerouted shipments of Russian gold to India.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

someone get Boaris Johnson a belt... looks like a mess with the shirt untucked!

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Time for the west to stop pussyfooting around, & deal with Putin the only way he knows - by force.

Let NATO off their leash & the Ukraine conflict will be over in a week. The young Russian conscripts will poop themselves, Putin will be put back in his place, & peace will prevail

-6 ( +5 / -11 )

Most of the steps that they are "standing firm" on are at best useless and at worst benefiting Putin and the other countries that have chosen to stay out of this. Really a sorry set of "leaders:"

2 ( +5 / -3 )

What a joke...

-1 ( +7 / -8 )

Ahhh it's good to see them happy, smiling on a wonderful background like a bunch of teenagers on a school trip while the economy is crashing, inflation is sky high, the war with Russia intensifying and China becoming more belligerent day by day. Good for them...

Putin mocked over topless photos by Boris Johnson and Justin Trudeau at G7

full on conflict between NATO and Russia is a brilliant idea

Sanctions & negotiations don’t work - Putin just laughs .

several senior British military officers predict a land war is going to happen sooner or later, because it’s the only way to stop Putin. Might as well do it sooner than later.

Of Russian gold exports, 90% was consigned to G7 countries. More than 90% of those exports, or nearly $17 billion, was exported to the UK. The United States imported less than $200 million in gold from Russia in 2019, and under $1 million in 2020 and 2021.

Johnson is in danger of becoming the G7 useful idiot.

Whilst the other G6, with the exception America, offer just platitudes, and pledges that amount to nothing.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Looking at the pic again made me think

"The Hills are Alive, with the sound of losers"......

4 ( +6 / -2 )

The man in the middle of the G7 photo is a joke of a UK PM.

He is a jobless con-artist and habitual liar

5 ( +6 / -1 )

It is useful that the members of the G7 have a comradery and an ability to get along well. They did not have that close relationship when Trump was there. No doubt during discussions there was plenty of stern looks and serious discussions. Those not happy that a lighter moment was captured on camera and used as publicity shots are ignorant of the truth.

Lots of pro Russians dissing the G7 and various members leaders heaping scorn on the Western alliance. I certainly much prefer the West to the alternative of being a citizen under the control of Putin or Xi. And as basically all the posters on this forum live outside of Putin and Xi's control in other nations, they clearly have no wish to live in the countries they so vocally support. I find that strange and typical from those who enjoy the freedoms available in the counties they live in that are not available in China or Russia.

Opposition to Russia and China will continue. The world has no desire to be on the leash of Autocrats. If anyone really wants to support them they should perhaps pack up their families and go live there.

A retired Russian general and military expert Lieutenant-General Evgeny Buzhinsky has warned the UK will “physically cease to exist” if a stand off with NATO triggers a nuclear World War 3. Lieutenant-General Evgeny Buzhinsky blasted British general Sir Patrick Sanders, who took charge of the UK’s land forces this week with a rallying call for troops to prepare to fight and beat Russian forces in a World War 3, reports The Mirror. “He doesn’t understand that as a result of the Third World War Britain will physically cease to exist,” said Buzhinsky.*

Didn't they say something similar before? Looks like a bunch of hogwash to me. Its time to get involved and once in for all, crush that little Putin and his cowardice army. He's waiting for the west to cave in like before but this time, we shouldnt cave in and teach that him a lesson.

The Group of Seven leaders were set to announce new bans on imports of Russian gold, the latest in a series of sanctions the club of democracies hopes will further isolate Russia economically.

The Russians aren't selling gold they are buying and buying in a frenzy. In the last 60 days, Russia purchased 275.60 tons of Gold worth nearly $14 Billion. Ban on gold imports is another impotent measure.

What's stopping other countries from buying Russian gold at below-market prices then selling it internationally at market prices? Absolutely nothing. Physical gold can be melted easily and recast. The biggest seller is South Africa.

Sanctions & negotiations don’t work - Putin just laughs .

What is the point of sanctions? China and India buy at $77 a barrel and sell to Europe at $99 a barrel. India sells to Europe at Euros 0. 84 per Liters after buying at 0.50 Euros.
