Trump has come out unequivocally against it.
Biden kind of did, after much dithering, at least when he was still in the running.
Judging by the way he has flip-flopped with promises and pardons, post electoral rout, it's hard to judge where he will go on this.
Regardless, should he make a feeble attempt double cross everyone again, Trump will surely just put his foot down and reverse it, as DJT gets the final call here.

Failed Businessman was in favor of banning Tik Tok before he was against it and no, some things cannot be undone by the next president.

It doesn't matter what Biden decides, the MAGA fanatics will excoriate him either way.
Course I doubt he GAF what they think, as he well should not. That line about "a lion does not concern itself with the opinions of sheep" comes to mind.

No one would have ever voted for a failure with those numbers that he won with.
Well, he’s right, but TikTok should be sold to an American buyer, it should be banned if they don’t sell it.
That would depend.
So what should we praise Biden for???
His own party doesn’t either that’s why even though he’s completely been incognito they don’t care, just 4 more weeks until they thankfully wrap this crazed freak show up
Oh, it does indeed….

I dunno, maybe managing to be president without inciting an insurrection; for not embarrassing the US on the world stage by shoving an elected leader out of the way; for not mocking medical science in front of his own experts on the matter (UV lights and bleach, anyone?); for not mocking a disabled reporter; for not dividing the country more than any president in living memory; for not calling certain countries "sh*tholes"; for not stacking the Supreme Court knowing that it would reverse decades' worth of progress in women's rights (abortion); for not sucking up to Vladimir Putin and other dictatorial types.
That's just off the top of my head, but you probably stopped reading after the first line anyway.

Biden should not decide on this anymore and leave it to Trump.

RE: Biden should not decide on this anymore and leave it to Trump.
Biden IS the President of the United States of America.
The question is , is he capable of making this decision either way?
Blacklabel
was there a lame duck in that story? Cause that’s the Biden role.

That's a terrible idea. Trump won't be POTUS until next month. We have a system. It's not perfect, but arbitrary starting times for terms is not a good idea.

So besides being wrong on every single point. I am not sure why is it that you would denigrate a man that half the country voted for. Apparently, you’re wrong, if Americans felt the way you did, they would have never voted for him, but now that the media is in tatters and the dust is settling, they’re now realizing that their failed warfare on Trump was a waste of time and effort.
Facts.

it’s always been a bad deal for nippon steel, and the clock is running out.
upgrading the plant to sell high quality steel to japanese automakers in the u.s. is the intent, but what’s in it for japan? jobs? tax revenue? nothing.
quality build was the catalyst to japanese automakers growth in the u.s. and other countries. there was demand for that.
the auto business in the u.s. will be less focused on quality and more on price and styling. the american market demand is for gigantic suv’s and pickups, not fuel efficiency or sedans that all look alike now - same body shape.
the automakers don’t want or need high quality steel. consumers don’t care about it, they only care about it being really big, flashy and what their monthly payment is.
walk away from the deal. you want to make money in the auto industry? you don’t do it with steel, you do it by investing in auto finance companies. that’s where the money is.

This is wrapped up in the politics of unions, which are major donors to politicians and are important in swing states. US Steel may have a prestigious name but it has been sucking wind for decades.
GBR48
Biden could offer a compromise plan: Nippon Steel moves to the US and becomes an American company. Then it could own US Steel without any issues.
grc
Surely Biden will approve it simply because Trump doesn’t?

Generally, I don't like government intervention in commerce. But this has long term national security implications. Those should either be written into the deal somehow, or the deal should be vetoed.
Rez
It's also not a national security issue. The US produced 80 million tons last year total. WWhereas the company US Steel only produced 8.8 million tons. A little over 10%. It's not like they're cornering America's steel production. They're just whining because it has the name US Steel, like its some holy American entity.

@ Rez
Thanks for the reply WITH data. I still think that 10% could be critical in times of war, which seem more and more likely every year.

"We did go on TikTok and we had a great response with billions of views," Trump said to cheers at AmericaFest, hosted by Turning Point USA and Turning Point Action. He added, "They brought me a chart ... and as I looked at it, I said, maybe we got to keep this sucker around for a little while."
bass4funk
Bingo! That’s the key right there.
Rez
The current owners refuse to invest in their own business to deliver pay outs to their shareholders. This 10% is already a national issue because of their lack of investment. The japanese on the other hand have promised to actually upgrade the blast furnaces and properly invest in the factories to expand production. It should help secure our resources. Have you forgotten Japan is an ally?
