May reassures Japan on Brexit; urges China to help on N Korea

Exporters to Europe are rightly concerned. I don't see what May can assure anyone about as the Brexit talks are not in any way finished let alone started.

If the EU had managed itself a little better Brexit may have never occurred. The true colours of the EU are clearly being shown in their vindictive attitude towards the UK. All their liberal speak prior to the split has miraculously disappeared and are basically on a Witch hunt to isolate the U.K. From the rest of the world to punish them and use them as an example and warning to others within the union not to do the same. They have a vested interest in hurting the UK.

Everyone seems to have forgotten that the Brits do best with their back to the wall. I just hope they never forget what Europe is attempting to do to them. Japan does fine economically as an isolated island completely surrounded by jealous neighbours intent on destroying it. The UK will do the same and actually what better partner than the Japanese. Japan is really the UK of the East and visa versa. Makes sense to have closer ties between these two island power houses.

Japan and Japanese companies are going to be very disappointed in the outcome of Brexit. May's assurances will come to nought. They are meaningless in Europe. Hope Japan Inc has a plan B for the big move to the continent that they will have to take. Better be lining up some nice office and factory space and eyeing up E.U workers as we speak.

You can read the outrage of the Brexiteers all over the internet. Hinting at retribution and dire consequences. Now they have Ireland's Ray Kinsella (right wing anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage etc) suggesting the Republic should ditch the EU and get cosy with the UK. Unbelievable.

Brexit = one large mess. we was lied to ( the public) how rubbish the EU is and how much better off that we would be if we left, well what a pack of lies we have been sold, it turns out that a lot of it was wrong, and what it has done for our trade relations with the rest of the EU won't be known for years.

Although Japan, traditionally,is nearer to Germany, boh in working culture and in business, with UK it has a lot of points in common:

1 - Both countries have crumbling and falling economies and falling, aging populations.

2 - Despite that, both are highly xenophobic, anti-immigrant cultures.

3 - Despine #1,#2, both populations still think their countries still are strong enough to be a major power alone. This is deeply rooted in their imperialist aggressor pasts.

This May character comes from a major defeat at home, and can not assure anyone of anything. Abe would be a full idiot to believe a single letter from what she's speaking. All the major banks are leaving London for Frankfurt, with thousands of people forced to relocate. All the major companies are leaving UK for EU.

UK has a very tough time ahead, they will be made to fully pay the damage their leaving has caused EU, and then some.

Japan yes. UK definitely not. Immigration/refugee numbers portray two utterly opposite situations.

White British people are now a minority in London. And English is a minority language in 1,300 schools across the UK. There will be a snowball in Hades before the Japanese (and most other nationalities) ever allowed that situation to take place in their own country.

I don't think that any one could understand the full implications of our act of leaving. I was, and still are against leaving. it has, or we have already alienated a few countries that we trade with, as for import duties from both sides of our country are going to affect trade, wether its higher prices for goods, it is inevitable, there is always winners and losers, some countries are annoyed with us and have started to put up long slow process of checking in at airports. years ago lorry drivers took days and days to go from French ports to Italy, but when we disposed of border controls drivers could slash there driving times, as they didn't spend days waiting at each boarder getting paper work checked, thus saving time and money getting fresh goods to xyz markets, but, if we don't sign up to this free trade across the EU i can see UK drivers being help up at border check points just to hassle them.
