Or how about the signs put up on the streets at businesses in throughout China, even before Abe was officially declared dead, which announced things like "To celebrate Abe's death, buy one get one free"?

Perhaps decades of Chinese movies, schools lessons, and State media all condemning Japan and its people which called for revenge, their destruction, and their death have had an effect on the populace. Good job Xi. Those are crocodile tears

Relatively, yes under Abe. We had the Senkaku escalation in 2010. Xi became the general secretary of the CPC in 2012 and relations with Japan improved over the decade.

The same reason there is no mention of trolls and posts that get deleted here at Japan Today: they have no value and don't deserve the attention.

It is hate speech and don't deserve any more attention. They are a group of base nationalists. I certainly wouldn't expect MSM to broadcast the speeches of right wing black vans. I certainly wouldn't give them more publicity by retweeting their advertisements.

There are 1.4 billion people in China. Their sns activities need to be moderated. Makes you appreciate forums that are monitored. A forum without moderators goes downhill fast.

As quercetum says, the main problem is that Japan is acting as a minion of America. China would have more respect for Japan if it had a spine. I personally would very much like to see China, Korea and Japan get on well, but America doesn't want that. The usual divide and conquer tactics so that USA remains lord of the jungle. Those days are coming to an end soon.

Pukey2, I fully agree that the actions of a few do not reflect those of the whole, but as mentioned, the anti-Abe hate was also spewed by Chinese State media.

The CCP continuously tries to indoctrinate the Chinese populace into hating Japan. They do this with children at school from a very young age (like 5 or 6).

In China, state censors ban blood and gore in movies... except when its Japanese soldiers in war movies. There are even anti-Japan theme parks (funded and produced by local governments) where kids can bayonet a dummy dressed up like a Japanese soldier.

So if people want to spew hate, it needs to be asked why they have this hate.

(just a coupe months ago if you recall, when a couple businesses in Japan attempted to ban Russians, Japanese SNS immediately called them out and disgraced them. Such a reaction to anti-Japan businesses in China is inconceivable.)

The problem is that Japan has never enjoyed such peace, prosperity, freedom and security as it has as a "minion" (LOL) of the US. Kinda hard to get the Japanese to give all that up to they can side with a communist superpower.

Of course he has to say that. The Chinese government always puts out kind words and then acts in ways that contradict those words. Xi and Abe hated each other. Just look at the picture of them together in 2014. I’m sure Xi is extremely happy.
