Ahhh, boohoo. CCP are sad because the world sees them as they are. Absolutely no one outside China needs, nor has to abide by China's "principles" and Taiwan is not an "internal" affair.

China should stop throwing its toys out of the pram. No one is going to return them.

Babies cry all the time.

There is too much hate pulling nowadays, even from the smallest of issues. Why can't everybody get along, move away from the past and just look into a nice future. There is a place for anybody in this world.

P. S.

If China wants to get more positive vibes from Japan, it should educate its tourists.

They one of the rudest, laudest, and not caring about the other tourists from the bunch of them.

"one China"? The hell does that mean? One day this belongs to China, one day that belongs to China, one day those belong to China one day these belong to China

The US and Japan want things to remain as they are. Most of the "free" world wants this, since change brings uncertainty. Since Xi was elected and set himself up to be dictator for life, China has been trying to change others in a 1-sided way.

I visited China before Xi and felt welcomed for the most part. China wasn't anti-everyone else like they are today. Xi is destroying how the world views China with every petty complaint and every act of a bully he mandates. How many times every week are there anti-Japanese news stories or movies on TV in China? Fix that CCP. Stop blaming others for your own issues.

China considers that the "One China Principle" includes recognizing Taiwan as part of China.

Nearly all nations already adhere to the "One China Principle". That is, Beijing is the sole representative of "China".

However, these same nations do not recognize Chinese sovereignty over Taiwan.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

Typical China. It's never their fault for actual doing these malign acts; it's others' fault for mentioning them.

A horrific, totalitarian menace.

We urge the United States and Japan to abide by the one-China principle

The US and Japan have never followed the One China Principle. This is typical CCP propaganda.

The US has a separate One China Policy, and Japan takes no official position, but its stance is close to the US position of "recognizing/acknowledging" China's claims but not endorsing them. Here's the US position:

Stop war mongering and rattling your sabers. That’s what nobody likes.

If China stops doing that, everybody in the region (not just Japan) would like China and respect China so much more than now.

The fact is, nobody likes a bully.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

How about negative references to Japan in Chinese education!!!

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Intelligent people do not ignore the facts. The fact is there is the Republic of China and there is also the Peoples Republic of China. Anyone capable of doing the math can add 1 plus 1 and get 2.

There are two China's and have been since 1949. Countries wont play CCP game of "make believe". But they are happy to acknowledge that PRC likes to believe there is only one China.

The rest of the world will continue to have contacts with ROC, and tell PRC its only unofficial. Since they like to play make believe they should buy that angle. Everyone is then happy right?

To begin with, Japanese people do not consider China a friendly country at all. There may be few countries where more than 90% of the population dislikes China.

If we want to reduce this even a little, we should be able to improve things by stopping their territorial claims over the Senkaku Islands and their acts of aggression against Japanese airspace and waters.

That is probably impossible, though.

China cares about its own reputation, but thinks it can do whatever it wants to other countries. China is the epitome of an arrogant country, but that is the reason it is disliked, so there is nothing that can be done about it.

There's an old Confucian saying: "If the shoe fits, don't complain, yo."

8 ( +8 / -0 )

How about negative references to Japan in Chinese education!!!

To be fair, Japan was terrible to most East Asia countries until after WW2, but they didn't kill 30M-50M Chinese like Mao did.

And it wouldn't be bad to recognize that other countries aren't anti-Chinese, we are anti-CCP. Vast difference. 2M core CCP members telling 1.3B Chinese how to live and if you disagree, you disappear.

Funny that, US manipulative narratives at full throttle here, trying to spread the usual fear mongering about China, to finalize, guess what, their multibillion dollars sale of weapons to Japan and destabilize the continent. Pretty much like they did in Eastern Europe and Middle East.

Asia welcomes China (and their tourists) because China is part of Asia. That would be the starting point of any conversation

Asia fears China over legitimate belligerence over the Senkakus, Taiwan, and the SCS. That would be the starting point of any conversation.

spread the usual fear mongering about China

Yes, China has been nothing but nice towards Kong Kong and Macau and certainly wouldn't round up all the news organizations in Taiwan for stating the truth there either, if they were ever allowed to invade Taiwan.

Beijing didn't force the Hong Kong rulers into oppressive laws and certainly didn't send in mainland police to ensure that all the pro-democracy Kongers were rounded up, charged with bogus crimes, and shutdown all the free press companies there. China didn't do that. It isn't fact ... at least not in the mainland where the CCP censors everything, including blank white paper. How's the air quality in Beijing today? Another Red warning day there from all the smog?

Clearly mainland China is the envy of the entire world and we all want to live there with industrial dumping poisoning the water, nuclear waste being flushed in to the ocean and fishing vessels required to go thousands of miles away because the Chinese EEZ waters are all dead from Chinese behaviors and abuses.

Satire, if it isn't clear.

All these misinterpretations come from the representatives of a country which has become “the joke of the world”, trying to give morality lessons :) And that says a lot about the depth of this conversation.

It is a pity that the usual suspects forget to mention the main aspect which distinguish the two nations: the warmongering of Washington as opposed to Beijing.

China has not been engaged in military activity for the past forty years. In that time, the US has overthrown numerous governments and illegally invaded many countries.

In the course of the 20th century alone, Washington has participated in 39 armed conflicts, or one every three years, and since 2000 it has engaged in at least 12 wars, the equivalent of one every two years.

Over the years, China has emerged as Asia key trading partners through training programs, infrastructure projects and other forms of cooperation, forging strong ties rooted in sincerity, openness, pragmatism, and win-win collaboration.

Asia needs shared prosperity and mutual respect, not a one-sided power play.

China has a long and rich history and culture. But the CCP threw all that out the window with the Cultural Revolution.

China today under the CCP dictatorship is a threat to the region and the whole world. Almost every word that comes out of China is deceitful or a lie to further their all-fronts War against the US and it's allies. And every post here by their internet army simply parrots CCP propaganda and their lies.

Full scale invasion of northern Vietnam in 1979 followed by skirmishes in the 1980s.

Johnson Reef skirmish with Vietnam 1988.

Mischief Reef conflict with Phillipines 1995.

Doklam standoff with India 2017.

Galwan Valley conflict 2020 with India.

Just in the last 40 years. But the biggest and most inexcusable conflict is the Korean War in 1950 when ther CCP sent 2,900,000 troops to fight and kill UN troops from 21 nations.

Misrepresenting again, but nobody is buying into it.

Asia detests Chinese leadership because it is dangerous, overbearing, warmongering, has the worlds largest Army, Navy and wants the biggest Air force too. China is stealing territory not its own in the Asian region. China ignores the rights of others. That would be the starting point of every conversation.

Chinese tourists are welcomed and tolerated in Asia when they behave themselves, the same as other tourists from around the world.

Of course you are not buying anything else contrary to the narrative of “the US is a savior of the globe”, when the top 5 arms manufacturers of the world are all Americans, and as an investor you need to look after the profits. This is the world we are in after all. We get to hear morality lessons from the Washington followers after witnessing this kind of charade in the White House as we speak, and the endless conflicts and war incited by Washington.

A complete manipulation of history books (you can only laugh when you read of Vietnam war started by China :) or the fabricated skirmishes who knows where, again, for the sake of the Wall Street greed.

As a fact the US is trying to advance its "Indo-Pacific" strategy to contain China, fanning the flames in the Korean Peninsula, Taiwan Straits and South China Sea.

The only difference is that China belongs to Asia, whereas the United Stated of America is just selling weapons of mass destruction as explained above.

I know but nobody really thinks China gives a darn about morals.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Based on the history lessons alone United States of America is NOT and it never was in a position to give morality lessons to China or any other country .

Diplomacy in Asia is totally kidnapped by the US military-industrial complex which incites geopolitical tensions through the constant hype of the “Russian menace” and the "China threat”. Behind the growth of arms sales, the US has created or intensified conflicts and crises in different regions of the world, forcing other countries to increase their budgets and buy US weapons to better serve the interests of the military.

Commercial or military interests that often have little to do with ideals.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

russia's invasion of Ukraine and China's belligerence in the Senkakus, Taiwan, and SCS are real.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

What is real is the aggressive history of United States of America and the greed of the warlords in Wall Street.

A quick recap for our readers:

Since 1945 the US past administrations have tried to overthrow more than 50 governments, many of them democratically elected; grossly interfered in elections in 30 countries; bombed the civilian populations of 30 countries; used chemical and biological weapons; and attempted to assassinate foreign leaders.

Defining China a “threat” is historically incorrect, unless you follow the narrative of the usual suspects that call the alleged skirmished (clearly manipulative) with Filipinos fishermen a danger to a sovereign nation.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Surely, he jests. He talks of skirmishes and standoffs when his country during that same time frame fought multiple wars of aggression that have killed millions of brown skinned people in the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Everyone knows that those video evidence are fabricated just like the above alleged proofs mentioned by the US administrations, from Vietnam to Iraq. Sheer hypocrisy and double standards, from coups to wars, finally the Americans have the president they deserve. And yet they still want to give morality lessons to China or else. Real life ain’t Hollywood and Hollywood ain’t real life

Wars of aggression involve the theft of territory like China's dog russia is doing. Also this article isn't about the US.

Apologists are talking about all videos of China acting like pieces of something being deepfakes. I guess it is all the apologist has left in the end.

As opposed to China we have a track record of lies and misinformation, destruction and violence by United States of America throughout the history of this so called nation. And the current records of the financial markets in Wall Street, despite the damage and instability created by your own administration globally, is testament of the evil nature, so spare us any type of sanctimoniousness
