The Chinese game is easy to understand:

(1) lend money to poor countries to employ Chinese workers, who build shoddy facilities at high cost.

(2) when the countries cannot pay the interest on the loan China takes control of various assets in that country in lieu of payment.

(3) eventually, China has control of all your assets, whilst whatever they built for you has fallen down.

The Malaysians have seen through this scam, but many other countries still fall for it. Rather, their dictators agree to it in return for a substantial bribe. Loans that were made as a result of bribery should automatically be voided.

Where the One Belt One Road program goes, the Chinese military follows to protect China's interest and infrastructure investment, and to ensure that country falls in line with China's global agenda.
