Does anyone know the real situation in China? If they still have the virus defeated something does not seem right and either way you look at this it it is not good

How is this for regional concerns: Mass incarceration of a minority, the Uighurs in Xinjiang, on a scale unlike anything since the Holocaust. Forced sterilization of the women. Massive population transfers. Organ harvesting and the marketing of tons of human hair. Slave labor. Systematic torture. The removal of children from their families, mandatory political indoctrination, an elaborate system of advanced-technology surveilance unprecedented in the history of police states. That should keep them busy. Lots to talk about.

No he is coming to Japan to show the “eyes plucking power of China”

That is arguably the most embarrassing thing I've read. Not only you say that Taiwanese, Filippino and Vietnamese lives are not the same worth as Japanese lives, but you're basically saying that Japan should not stand up for any kind of principles whatsoever. That kind of thought is no different from the current South Korean president wanting to show open arms to his northern neighbor, who has shown nothing deserving of such a welcome nor any form of détente.
Baltic countries and Finland sit right next to Russia BY LAND, but they are showing far more backbone as nations with their own democratic principles vis-à-vis Russia regardless of how much money comes from Russian-based trade and tourism. It shouldn't be that hard for Japan to learn something over there.
Détente is not something you give from a country to another. It has to be earned.

Totalitarian will just insist on the island is his own territory, no matter what an international law say.

The LDP turned a totally war devastated Japan to the second largest economy in the world in 1968. The LDP lifted the country out of poverty in 22 years.

Morally there is no comparison in the last 70 years. China has massacred its own citizens in Tienanmen square, internment camps for millions of citizens, mass movements of Han Chinese to displace other less desirable local populations within China, forced sterilization of Uighur women, breaking a formal treaty on Hong Kong to enable it to arrest and detain any Hong Kong citizen from using free speech and the list goes on.
CCP is clearly bad. It may have done some good things in its existence but it is much out weighed by how it stifles freedoms and its people on a daily basis. Japan in comparison during that time has minded its own business, treated its people with respect, and become a respected and valued partner of many nations around the world.
China wishes it had the respect Japan has on the world stage. It just doesnt, and looks like not achieving that unless it renounces single party rule.

China isn’t all that different from North Korea in lots of ways, except China knows how to make money. Why should everybody ignore the Uighur people, Hong Kong, the land grabs, etc. ? Diplomatic relations are fine, but how much is to be ignored and swept under the rug?

IF you want to see how China deals with its counterparts, look no further than its abuse of its relationship with Australia. expat Nov 21 at 10:37 am JST
Not only China has intimidated and bullied Australia, the Global Times, the lousy mouthpiece of China has also stepped up its attack on Japan. In an editorial on Nov 17, 2020, this website directly named Japan and Australia in its verbal onslaught: "Countries like Japan and Australia have been used as US tools. The strategic risk for a tool to be damaged is certainly higher than that of a user."
In my view, China's worst fears have come true, as both Japan and Australia join the QUAD not as a normal tool but as a spearhead which could cause great damage to its aggressive expansion in the East and Southeast Asia Seas. That is the reason why China sent Wang Yi to visit Japan in the hope that it could use trade to compromise Japan's standpoint.

Japan has to play astutely sandwiched between the two giants. China's approach to Japan means they are in trouble in relations to U.S. This is different from South Korea. Abe said before Japan can reason with China but not with South Korea. Japan has to behave carefully avoiding displeasures of the two.

This is a part of their arsenal in the trade war. They took out Trump and many more.

We are part of the Quad Alliance.
We just signed a defense agreement with Australia. 2020.
At the same time we signed RCEP with China and 15 other nations.
What does this all mean? ?
China needs to play nice. They have a lot to lose. Not enough to gain by being aggressive.
Some people on here just want Japan to be nasty towards China. We don't live across the Ocean like you, China is our neighbor, number #1 trading partner. #1 in Tourist visiting Japan.
Let China attack Taiwan first.
Let them attack Philippines or Vietnam.
Then Yes! Let's go anti-China.
None of that happened! It's not in Japan's best interest to take this nasty policy towards China which many of you are pushing on here!
Septim Dynasty
Japan: Uses all kinds of language and criticisms to attack against China
China: Uses BIG MONEY
China: Uses BIG PROMISE TO OPEN DOMESTIC ECONOMY!
China: Uses Chinese tourism
Japan: Fainted
China: I have captured an economy!
I am just demonstrating an example that it's not easy to go against China.
Coerced and dominated, not "sandwiched". Either power can end Japan in a heartbeat without waging a kinetic war.
He is joking. Anyway, you guys shouldn't hold much hope that the US will destroy China for the sake of Vietnam. People should have a realistic mindset.

Japan has to be diplomatic and extend the hand of friendship to the tyrants in Beijing, Moscow and Washington. It's not pretty, and in the case of some of these puffed up strutting apologists for authoritarianism, it's downright offensive.
But without dialogue we get nowhere.

Try living 1 day without Chinese products. You will be nude and will be back to newspapers.

Japanese and Chinese have tradition to visit each other like relatives. Ministers should visit as many as possible. Suga govt has done a good job in that regard. I will personally welcome Mr Wang at the airport, no need to keep it as a secret.
Long live northeast Asians.
