China deserves all those “smears" and "discredits" and more. Its actions regarding independent and democratic Taiwan, the Senkakus and South China (sic) Sea are despicable.

It isn't China that's the problem. It is the CCP. Don't ever confuse those. The CCP is going away, but China and Chinese people will eventually be free.

Well, most of the world would agree with that communique…
Time for China to mature on the world stage a bit more.

China wants to be the life of the party only the party music sucks like their policies. For example the one child policy that they strongly believed in has now come to bite them in the arse, Covid you name it they deny it!!

Thanks, rainyday. It's pretty uncontroversial but China is paranoid. I often think it has the national equivalent of borderline personality disorder.

The comminique states in crystal-clear terms all of the ways in which China needs to listen very clearly to the concerns of the free democratic worlds' legislators and mend her ways accordingly - zero point in crying about 'interference' and whining about feeling victimised.
The only way to curtail the expansionist aims of the CCP is to boycott anything and everything with 'Made in China' stamped on it..... I know this can be quire difficult, but I've been doing this for many years now, there are always alternatives to be found for anything.
Only by pricking the Chinese bubble can they be taught to play by the accepted international rules.

What a charismatic spokesman Wang Wenbin is, not. Completely devoid of any semblance of personality whose main claim to fame is that he is literate to the extent that he can read prepared dribble.
voiceofokinawa
The G-7 foreign ministers' communique said that they would address "the various challenges in the Indo-Pacific", probably, with China's assertive activities in the region in mind. And so Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin's remark may be an overreaction.’

malignant despotic China, angered by stereotypes

Wow China has turned into a cry baby. Xi the Pooh must really be a glass heart snowflake.

No, it clearly didn't. Yet another Chinese lie.
It did nothing of the sort. China lie's yet again.
Mr Wang does not realize China gets no respect from the majority of the worlds nations because it obviously does not deserve it. It interferes in Taiwan's internal and external affairs on a daily basis.
China acts like it is above everyone else and complains when it is not treated that way. No sympathy for them. They need to grow up and act like adults not schoolyard children.

meh, yeah, yeah...don't take your attention away from the forced labour camps.

This is a good point. The relevant portion of the text of the communique is:

Imagine Chinese led 'group' holding such meetings, it's coming soon to theater near you!
Fighto!
Grow up, China.
For such a bullying and arrogant nation they sure are immature and sensitive crybabies.
TaiwanIsNotChina
And what makes you think this is less powerful than the gas station/intellectual property theft block?
TaiwanIsNotChina
China is one giant interference in the Asia Pacific. It needs some interference to reign it back in.

Wow, quercetum, looks like we don't stand a chance. We had better become immensely more authoritarian and rally around fragile egos too, right, if we are going to keep up with that enlightened quarter of the world? Which side are you on?
Ricky Kaminski13
You grossly don't get it mate. Bullies don't get to magically play the victim card when there's pushback. The doublespeak only works within your own ranks, not ours. A free and open Indo Pacific. It aint rocket science. ( Unless of course you are an extension of North Korea )

Is the above from the country that has set up jails in foreign countries?. Mighty rich, if so?
Michael Machida
I would say China has grossly interfered with many countries internal affairs, and maliciously smeared and discredited their own country all by themselves.
OssanAmerica
China is doing that all on it's own through it's actions, threats, and ridiculous foreign ministry statements.
quercetum
If they had Russia in the G8 and as an ally with energy leverage against China, China would not be making as many statements.
For a trade and economy view, there’s no comparison. This bloc has gender equality, gay rights, color and race politics, capital markets bloated with paper money, crippling debt, saturated markets, credit default swaps and humanity majors who touch up and upload pdf’s with rehashed points.
The other bloc has oil, gas, gold, rare earths, manufacturing, industry, metals, an artificial sun, skilled STEM workers, industrial markets, unsaturated markets, labor force and population.
lincolnman
Sure, but it wasn't "interference in internal affairs" when China went ballistic when the Taiwan President met with US officials IN THE US....
Go pound sand Wang....
Aly Rustom
grossly interfered in its internal affairs,
Wang said "it was full of arrogance,
Wang is a Dick

Of course, the pathetic US flea circus does everything their master tells them to do.

Really need the contents of the communique in the same article so we don't have to search for it. On the other hand, China will always find something to be outraged about. It has a fragile ego.
Japanoob
They may have grown economically but diplomatically, the CCP are still in their infancy throwing toys out the playpen at every opportunity.
