Unfortunately, renewable energy on national scale is still not commercially viable. It’s either nuclear or lots of coal and gas plants. Nuclear produces zero greenhouse gases.

The Government the Nuclear industry have absolutely no idea how to, what to do about the mess THEY created. The head long thrust to restart an industry that has a proven track record of discarding responsibility for humans, and a focus on profits again at the expense of tax paying humans is obvious. As long as the cash rolls in why would they bother to care.

But nuclear disaster in western Japan will contaminate more extensive area by wind direction than Fukushima disaster 2011.

Many people live in leeward of nuclear plants but

Nobody inspect even reliability of evacuation plans.

Japan's government still insists : "We restart nuclear power plants that safety was confirmed" "Japan's nuclear regulation agency is independent organization".

but Japan's nuclear regulation authorities said : "We do not guarantee safety of nuclear power plants".

and Executives of Japan's nuclear regulation agency is occupied by beneficiary of nuclear industries.
