Both Japan and Germany are allied with the US and all the democratic nations who stand against autocratic dictatorships. Those who twerp on about events multiple decades before they were born are simply crass.

The two nations were only military allies during WWII but aside from that there was little in the way of actual cooperation. Each developed their hardware and military doctrines separately. Their militaries could have hardly been more different. They didn't operate together in any theater. There were no shared weapons or shared production of weapons. They were allied only in a geostrategic sense, but they were not integrated in the manner of the military forces of NATO or the US Pacific allies.
