Shinzo continues to creep around in the public media, so he can prepare for his next attempt at PM. He wants people to get use to seeing him again because right now, no one will vote for him. No one has forgotten his failed response to the pandemic by following trump's lead, the money scandals, or the mismanaged Olympics. He wants the public to lower their guard with him like people feel with strangers that they always see on the train as they go to work in the morning.

Bet he didn't bring up the disgraceful human-rights issues in this Dreadful totalitarian and corrupt state, known mainly for one-thing - the most vicious and inhumane corporal punishments in the world, always inflicted on the poor, the weakest and the dispossessed.......

Nice to be able to get a jolly while the rest of us can't visit family.

As many people predicted and foretold - he will resign for health reasons, withdraw from public life for a while and be almost unheard of. Someone "weaker" will take his place. Then he'll reappear and people will say "yes, he was better than that weakling". And since he is now "out" of politics, it is much easier to deal with the corruption that thrived so much under his rule. He's just not a politician anymore so it's "different corruption".

It is so damn strange that even Japanese far-right nationalists are also attacking the Japanese corrupt bureaucracy. The bureaucracy is filled with a legion of people as corrupt as Shinzo Abe.

Oh look.

Tax payers get to pay for his little international vacation trips, again.

How wonderful.

Yup. Just another Masazoe- But one that actually keeps getting away with it.

can we close the borders and not let him back into Japan? Malaysia you can keep him!

Hear Hear!!!!!!

Malaysia is well-know to be among the most corrupt governemnts in the world. Perhaps Shin-chan Kaki-botti is there to get a few tips? Or even deliver a masterclass.

would not surprise me...

When's this guy going to be taken to trial for the Moritomo scandal? This guy should be in jail.

Malaysia was recently embroiled in a big corruption scandal involving western banks. I'm not surprised Botchan is heading there.

Now that covid and Olympics are over, he's making his usual appearance now. Only one word describes his actions.... coward.

Another word: comeback.

This guy doesn't fool me one bit. There was probably never anything wrong with his health. Both Suga and the current PM are just stooges, just waiting for Botchan to come back when the dust has settled. At least nepotism won't occur in his family anymore.

How many more will die to further the ambitions of this evil man and his wife?

If you use this site for sampling, don't think it will end anytime soon. Too many far right extremists in Japan. The up side is they continue to provide our daily dose of comedy.

The leader of the extreme right-wing Shinto Cult is now leader of the LDP's largest faction and the country's official eminence grise. How many more will die to further the ambitions of this evil man and his wife?

Can’t we ever have the privilege of forgetting this no-hoper?

Sick of this corrupt inept man.

Abe is like a less evil version of Putin. I have no doubt he is in control and suga and Kishida were/ are puppets. I sincerely doubt Abe stepped down just due to health issues. Yeah it's well known he suffers from colitis but the timing was too perfect and he was able to throw Suga under the bus.

His many political scandals are still unsolved.

He is mere helped by Japanese general public who easily forget whatever happen.

And this guy was the mastermind of cancelling the joint press conference with US and Korea, at a time when US wanted to show strength and unity in front of China. But due to pretty and childish reasons Japan pulls out of the conference.

diagonalslip, the comment about Kishida visiting Abe's office also caught my attention. So I guess we now know that it doesn't really matter whose name is on the door, Abe is still calling the shots! And people are worried about China and Xi's one man rule!

At least he look a lot better now. Some vacation time seems to have did wonders.
