The main aim behind introduction of Shinkansen high speed railway train is to revolutionise the old British era railway network in India and to upgrade it it to international standard to spur fast economic progress in the country. It is just the beginning , later on Maglev superfast trains, too, will run on the Indian railway network.Though other ultra modern fast modes of transportation are also under consideration of the Indian government.
