How is Kishida doing along with the rest of the LDP?

From the viewpoint of the young Japanese that I meet, I can report.

Many of them just want to leave Japan as they don’t see a future here.

Note: I honestly can’t understand the downvotes to my previous post because I have the feeling that the majority of JT readers are against the ldp. Anyway, some posts were removed (including my other post), long story short, imho, the way this relation (between the US and Japan) is constructed will always affect Japan more than the other way around, imo, it is detrimental to the interests of the Japanese people. But the US and Japan will always be close and that’ll always be a good thing.

What a mess the world is in since Biden came into power and the scary thing is that he is oblivious to it all

“ Well said. And he gave billions of dollars to Iran to fund terrorist attacks. Weak, incompetent and dangerous.

I only hope we can survive the next six months until Trump is back in charge. “

Like I previously said, it’s an election year. Let’s see what happens. But again, one thing’s for sure, the US and Japan will always be close.

Yes, as always, Republicans screwed things up royally, and the people voted them out, and put in someone competent to clean up the problems. Biden has had to teal with a Trump-destabilized world.

the scary thing is that he is oblivious to it all

Someone didn't watch the SoTU! But a looooooooooooot of independents did. And women who have had their right to abortion removed by republican extremists.

He already been found liable for civil fraud, criminal fraud carry jail time

Jimizo,a convicted person,is under custody of the Court, Trump could be a felon as early as next month,as he face trial on Monday

Very interesting.

Will he be convicted? Tough one.

I wouldn’t bet on it you see. No way Pedro, what am I like etc.

Certainly not a done deal.

Biden closing in the polls. Odds on his reelection slashed. Good economic data. Trump facing serious legal charges and money problems as well as clear mental decline.

Hard to call at the moment.

Japan's PM Kishida who buying more US weapons without even considering more heavy burden to own citizen who already exhausting with poverty or inequality. so he was welcomed in US, but his support rate in Japan recorded his worst necessarily.

It is a fallacy to believe a war/conflict simply peters out, like firework night.

War/conflict has all the detrimental influence of spreading sucking, like a hoover, as engagement mounts as lives lost, create a need to fan the hostility.

Today  07:51 pm JST “ It’s true that Kishida sometimes makes a laughable figure with his spectacles and his determination in spite of the dismal ratings, but he is Japan’s leader, and I support Japan 100%. I mean, heck, I live here, pay taxes, raise kids and believe in the place. So, I feel bad when I read all the crap that people write about him. “

Funny. All those upvotes and I completely agree with you. I support Japan (and the US and the EU, I mean, OF COURSE). I just think that the ldp is hurting this country. Or are you gonna tell me that Kishida is doing a good job? SMH.

They have a lot in common these two. Not a long future ahead.

Are both President Joe Biden, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida fighting for political survival?

A question unanswered.

Opponents are circling without any comprehensive, or coherent, clear realistic alternative.

Leadership means you have to pick a side and live with the consequences.

What a mess the world is in since Biden came into power and the scary thing is that he is oblivious to it all. And the American people accept it. Anyway, they will BOTH be gone in a bit. Bring on the respective elections.

Kisihda-san wouldn't have noticed the weak yen is making us all poorer because he didn't have to pay for anything himself.

Todays leadership, US/UK/EU believe with belligerent Governments of China, Russia, North Korea, yes Israel/Hamas they can simply hold meeting after meeting.

The pretence that the rule of law will prevail, the belief that a rules based democratic international community will save the day.

The remembrance of victory in Europe /Japan will reach beyond into the 21st century.

It won't and never will.

he has never found a war he didn't get enthusiastically behind.

So, all the time he's been a representative of the American people he's supported every single war? That sounds very dubious (totally false) to me.

He has mucked up everything and been on the wrong side of every global issue since he was in politics in 1972.

Similarly dubious.

Only those that support Liberty Equality and Justice for all, deserve the protection of America,if you already insecure of your country ability to protect from hostile enemies ,do not expect America to protect you,if you do not embrace these values

Has the strong connection between Japan US, Europe fallen in conflict?

When required to rise to the challenge, to the occasion, has the ask been left gasping, soon to be drowned in the failure of policy , the need to appease the dictator?

I wonder.

The youth vote are a shameful cowardly betrayal.

China and Russia must be shaking in their boots

China and Russia among others are rolling their eyes and laughing .

It's a sad and pathetic day for Americans and Japanese

China and Russia must be shaking in their boots with fear looking after looking at that picture of a couple geriatrics.

Well the sick geriatric Mini-me's hands and legs certainly shake at the best of times, so you are half right I guess!

That's really not funny in the least

Putin or Biden with a nuclear suitcase and Kishida following the golden superiority carrot

It's like they know their own demise is coming so their living it up while they still can

No our health and well-being isn't a joke

Democracy has turned into a Jimmy rigged shenanigan and free for all lunacy circus

The challenge will be or both to convince, persuade there electorates.

In a world, a global community in turmoil,

At war in the middle east, Ukraine.

Both Japan and US people unconvinced.

Rightly so.

Strong leadership?

I think Americans would rather vote for someone who is a bit forgetful than a convicted sexual abuser who also illegally tried to cover up his encounter with Stormy Daniels. One could also add fomenting the J6 insurrection in Washington.

13 ( +15 / -2 )

Why is Biden wearing shades?

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

I bet Kishida really wanted to meet Trump -- would have been a lot more fun.

-14 ( +4 / -18 )

Good way of wording that title, lol

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Hopefully Biden will get bounced and we can get back to peace and prosperity. He has destabilized the world with his neo-con foreign policy. And he pretended his "foreign policy experience" was his virtue - what a sick joke. He has mucked up everything and been on the wrong side of every global issue since he was in politics in 1972.

He likes to airbrush his past (lie) but he voted for the Iraq Invasion in 2003 and was a crucial cheerleader for it. That is but one example as he has never found a war he didn't get enthusiastically behind.
