Not all countries want to roll over to satisfy CCP ambitions.

Poor Winnie the Poop... it bothers him that his neighbor is taking a stance on his bullying. I say good on Japan to try to defend itself.

The borg still speaks in exactly the same tongue. The language of pure hypocrisy. The behavior of many Chinese towards the assassination of Abesan, and the state sponsored media filters that allowed these ‘celebrations’ to happen ( remember they can censor anything they like ) , was even a shock to us here and that’s saying something. The depravity of someone who can celebrate a cold blooded killing will not be forgotten. Especially by the stoic Japanese.
Are we getting past the point of no return? Do these maniacs really play an end sum game ? Still asking myself is this sort of doublethink and plain as day hypocrisy is actually on purpose? If it is, and picking a fight is their game, then it’s a sorry sad world that we currently live in. Maniacs at the helm.

If he’s worried that Japan is not going to let the CCP turn the E.&S. China seas into PRC lakes, won’t let him absorb Taiwan unchallenged, won’t be a vassal state, then he is right to worry.
Cause that isn’t happening and the JSDF is going to get the funding to make sure it doesn’t.

If China is really concerned all they have to do is declare that they will not try to take Taiwan by force, stop harassing Japan over the Senkakus, drop the ridiculous 9-dash line that an International Court has already ruled invalid. Play nicely and by the rules, and no one will need to be concerned.

An interesting situation since Xi has adopted a hard-line approach since he has been in power. In effect China now worries Japan will act more like China in international relations, and not give an inch when it comes to sovereignty issues. Xi has been hard-line for about ten years so it is hardly in a position to complain about anyone else taking a similar stance.
It is time China used a more friendly method in dealing with nations in the region. Doing so would probably get better results for everyone. Shelve the hard-line process and lead by friendly example.
I am sure this does not even occur to Xi as a way forward. More's the pity for the region.

Who the hell is the government source? A mole within Kantei?
Oh, ok....

That says it all. They are not getting their way, now they want Kishida to bend to their will and kowtow.
If Japan is seeking to amend its peace constitution, that is a direct consequence of China's behaviour. Look in the mirror Number eleven.
The CCP’s behaviour over Abe’s murder as RK13 above said, has been typically hypocritical, and the behaviour of those members of the Chinese population celebrating the murder of a fellow human being is utterly despicable and says frighteningly more about them than Abe.

CCP is worried???!!! GOOD!!!! If I was Kishida, I would get a few thousand supersonic thermonuclear missiles. That would make CCP think twice about doing anything around Japan...

Who is afraid of "Kishida"? Nobody!
Not even North Korea gives a mere care of him. Kishida is PM of Japan because Abe put him in the office. Now Abe Is Dead, who is the guardian backing him? His days will not lasting for long, maybe a year or two years. Like those PM of Japan in 1990s & 2000s, nearly all of them like a"Mery goes around". I wish Kishida good luck, the economic problems, inflation and Covid were the phantoms in a cursed house and he has no backup!

china builds their fake islands in other people's waters. Illegally invades and occupies other people's land. Sends hundreds of fishing boats to steal other people's livelihoods.
We hope that china will earnestly learn the lessons of history, adhere to the path of peaceful development and take concrete actions that would win the trust of its Asian neighbors and the international community.
chinazis should stop interfering with Japan's affairs.
Japan has a right to defend itself.

I thought this headline was pretty funny considering the first headline on the front page today was "Japan to drop setting ceiling on next year's defense spending: Nikkei"
Well, China wasn't wrong. Didn't take long for the harder stance to shape up.
I have no idea where all this is going to go. I feel like someone in 1930's might have felt.

Is it time for Baby Ping Ping to have a diaper change? Sounds like he's wetting himself over Japan. Many who post here like to claim that Japan doesn't matter internationally but it seems like what Japan does or does not do matters quite a bit to China.

Gee, wasn't that the justification used by Imperial Japan to invade and occupy its neighbors to create their Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere?

Look at the lead photo with Xi Jinping reviewing troops while wearing a PLA uniform. The PLA brass detest this practice. Xi Jinping never did a day in the PLA and has zero credibility with their officer corps. His attempt to gain a third term as CCP General Secretary and PRC President at the upcoming party congress in October will be hotly contested. There may even be a coup attempt. It would not be the first time there has been a coup attempt against Xi. There is much anger within the party at him and his faction.

For those in Japan, it's time to start considering what to do in the event of a Nuclear attack - and how to be prepared ?
Perhaps its time to Build a Nuclear fall-out shelter in your back garden ? Maybe we will see more "Companies" offering such things in the near future...

Those neighbors are geographically Asia but were not for Asians. Nothing wrong with aiming for Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere. Government of Asians for Asians by Asians, which is actually being practiced by CCP China

A non sequitur. Malaysia, Vietnam, Borneo, Philippines, China were Asian but not for Asians? Risible.
The last time a nation tried that it resulted in a long ugly war and many tens of millions dead.
Lol, that's rich. What you have in China today is Han chauvinism fed by Han insecurity. Tibetans, Outer Mongolians, Uyghurs, and Cantonese speakers all being forced to adopt Mandarin and what are basically Beijing customs and culture. Uyghurs, Tibetans and Mongolians are every bit as Asian as the Han but they are harshly discriminated against and denied their own cultural identities under CCP rule. It is telling that in a nation as vast as China spanning what should be at least 5 time zones, all of China is on a single time zone, that of Beijing. The Han leadership is so pathetically insecure that the cannot tolerate even that little bit of difference between one region and another. Everything has to be homogenized to a single Mandarin speaking Beijing based Han culture. Any dissent or complaint about this is immediately punished.
