When has Japan ever "backslided" on anything they have agreed to with South Korea?

South Korea "backslided" opn the 2015 "Permanent and Irreversible" Comfort Women Agreement. SK refused to comply with the Aribitration Clause in the 1965 Treaty, and allowed SK Courts to try and rule without first establishing jurisdiction. SK unilaterally occupied the Liancoiurt Rocks and have refused to settle the dispute at the ICJ three times. It seems to me your view if far more biased than tje journalists you complain about.

It is very good and refreshing news to hear about agreements, cooperation, this contributes to positive feelings and peaceful attitudes that are so much needed to calm down the world.

What a contrast Japan and Germany’s respective stances regarding compensation for the suffering and distress each caused. Japan arrogant, legalistic, and essentially devoid of compassion. Germany’s, high minded, generous in the extreme, and not reluctant to renegotiate. None of this mealy mouthed, statute of limitations has passed so we’re in the clear crapola.

You despair for these clowns. They simply can’t help themselves. It’s one thing to try and delude others with their self serving excuses designed to deflect attention away from their own complicity in most of these unresolved issues. But even worse, they’ve managed to convince themselves that the other side is the intransigent party.

But now that South Korea has a leader who can see straight and recognizes the importance of SK-JPN relations to the security of his country, and that good relations between the two is critical for the United States, hopefully Mr Yoon can undo the massive damage created by his predecessor Moon.

He didn't call "Americans" a derogatory name. Because the current congress is as UN-American as they come.

Since they are not for the American people, they cannot be called "American". Therefore the South Korean people didn't insult Americans. He merely labelled the current US Congress by their correct term.
