A triumphant round of US merry making and ego massages have upped Kishida’s image and confidence?

Maybe Kishida should ‘beam himself’ to the US where they are in need of a replacement leader since he is not that popular in Japan.

Stay there, we don't need you in Japan.

What's the deal with Kishida ?

He travels to America on Japanese tax payers money and has a super pompous ego trip and the returns to Japan and expects his popularity to increase ?

Times are tough for us living in Japan as the yen is low and prices high and too much dealing with the yanks is unsettling.

Who cares whatever supposed agreements were made between Kishida and Biden because Biden won't be president for much longer

Seems like Kishida is leading japan away from a peaceful pacifist lifestyle and helping to plummet the economy to appease the almighty USA dollar and not making good dialogue with adversarial neighbors

In fact Japan's becoming a target now it's got promoted so super-duper lap doggie on a mission

Kishida does not appear to have any extraordinary skills, but, compared with to leaders of most other countries, he at least seems serious about doing the job. Therefore, I tend to want to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Not going to make any, any difference, unless, Japanese some how, find/create a credible opposition.

The arrogance of this Prime Minister and his party in general are beyond words.

Now in any other true democracy there would be a new party leading the country.

So to summarize after all the scandals of corruptions,a stagnant economy,a Yen so weak that is impoverishing the majority of the population, no efforts made for the Welfare and still no improvements in the gender gap keeping Japan still far below any modern developed democracies Kishida think that visit his master and talk (again) about boosting defenses which mean use our money for the military will make him popular.

If Japanese keep voting his party and him then in the end they deserve to decline.

he apparently believes his state visit to the United States has borne fruit, helping reverse his unpopularity

yes, only a truly delusional individual would believe that

Kishida may become more willing to call a general election as early as June

you do that. see what happens. clearly he is living in Clown World.
