Revolving door PM changes here we come again. Factional in-fighting hindering efforts to contain the single biggest global event since WW2. Power for the sake of power in other words, the polar opposite of what we need right now. You drop the ball everyone loses.

Might be time to change the system, rather then political clubs, an idea, unaffiliated individuals who have a vision to actually improve lives rather than funnel tax payer money to their friends

No sympathy here.

A complete dinosaur who just echoed Abe's monotone and refused and still refuses to answers any questions that the plebs ask.

Head lawn bowler at the World’s most famous Japan Whispering Cedars nursing home.

And predictably, no one cares how the game goes as long as they can enjoy afternoon shandy at the golf club.

Bring in the next geriatric, with another ¥trillion package and a bonus pack of adult diapers for each active pension plan.

If he would have been elected by all of Japan , the people themselves were responsible. But so... They just sat unasked the weakest of them on the throne like it was common in middle age kingdoms. It’s quite unbelievable who is in control of the world’s 3rd ranked important economy. In addition under pandemic circumstances... OK, the 1st and 2nd ranked countries are not better, but that’s not our topic here...lol

"He may have relied too much on the outdated automatic pilot that has ruled the country since the end of the war"

I've said it before on here, I'll say it again: "The solutions of the 1950s aren't going to solve the problems of the 2020s."

I'm well aware of how much power the average citizen doesn't have here, but how is everyone okay with an economy that's been sputtering for 30 years? The political scandals? The almost willful ignorance of a virus that's slowly making its way around the country and a government that doesn't seem too keen on doing anything about it?

I know there aren't too many alternatives here, but I wish the Japanese would wake up to this BS and stop being nice and polite about it and start getting mad as hell. These fossils are going out in opulence, what's going to be left for the masses?
