Balderdash. If Japan's fiscal health were poor, it would have had a bond crisis or default ages ago. The fact it continues to meet its debt obligations and maintain its fiscal obligations with basically zero side effects while printing the world's safe haven currency is evidence that its "fiscal health" is healthy indeed.

As with all such situations, there are consequences the entire world faces.
The point is Japan as with all other nations must prepare and find ways to cope and change as needed to continue to survive.
When there is a world level conflict such as this, everyone including those that are the part of the conflict will suffer directly and indirectly. At and during such times, one must not whine or demand others to change, but adjust and change oneself to get the best of the worst situation in the current scenario.
So the blame game is meaningless and useless. The world will by necessity start to "balance" itself, regardless of opinions ot pointing fingers.
The best for Japan and even the US is to honestly inform and prepare their respective nations as to the situation and what they may expect and what could be done to make it better for all. Politicing and preparing for elections is NOT the most, meaningful action to consider or to take.

This is yet another "benefit" of the trump in office. Bankruptcies are on the rise for farmers in the US as well. Japan needs to shorten sails and ride out the storm. Do what is best for Japan not trump!

The orange moron and the State that wants to own us all.
I wish they'd both just go away. Can't we just give them equal halves of the moon and send them off to do their thing there with the Tardigrades?

Nothing but speculation.

The same pathetic litany, ‘Japan needs inflation’ repeated again and again!
Cheap imports are a boon for the Japanese people whose wages are...stagnant!
Keep the yen strong...

The blame game has gone on off long enough with excuses after excuses, on top of excuses for currency manipulation and unfair exchange rates. This all started a long time ago but was not as noticeable or blatantly done as it is today. The fault is in the bankers themselves, the few 1% but as long as the public keeps believing the make believe stories about currency manipulation and what is to blame i.e. same issue with gas prices, then this will never stop. The public should make its voice and spending power heard loud n clear to these manipulators not just one specific country or target. The overall endgame in currency manipulation is a cashless and one global currency. Do the research. I hope JT reporters can research this topic further in a series that explains it all to everyone but unfortunately it won't be allowed to happen.

LOL!
Trump's economic/tax policies have resulted in a booming economy and record low unemployment.
LOL!
dmacleod
Which policies are you talking about? I've asked this question many times before, but I haven't gotten an answer except for empty rhetoric, so let's try this again: Please identify the exact legislation or policies that you believe Trump deserves credit for and how those policies have specifically addressed issues that have resulted in "a booming economy and record low unemployment." Remember--be specific.
