Former Tokyo Gov Masuzoe returns Y65,000 in expenses for improper use of official car

Former Tokyo Governor Yoichi Masuzoe has returned approximately 65,000 yen to the Tokyo metropolitan government, which he had claimed as expenses.

During his tenure as governor, Masuzoe admitted that he had inappropriately utilized his official car with his family last year to go to baseball games at Tokyo Dome on August 18 and 29, and attend a classical concert held at NHK Hall located in Shibuya Ward on December 23.

After auditors for the Tokyo metropolitan government concluded that Masuzoe’s use of political funds for private purposes was inappropriate, he was asked to repay the expenses incurred from improper usage of the official car.

Although Masuzoe, who resigned on June 21, repeatedly claimed that the official car was used for “public service”, he repaid 65,029 yen on Aug 19 at the request of the metropolitan government.

@Since1981. Nothing missing. Business as usual. Hammer the little guy. Fawn to the 'big man'. I remember Ozawa having ¥400million in unexplained CASH in his house. His response was laughable but no more was said.

What a joke.

There should be an itemized list of all his expenses made public. Then we can see exactly what this 65,029 covers.
