Why would he dissolve the house when he knows in the next election his government is history. The time for change is happening all over the world. It's about time Japan catch up and throw those old lazy law makers (well I guess most law makers are that but anyway) out of office. We can call it the gas tax erection. (ooops election) Let's let the Democratic Party run things for a few decades and see where that will get Japan. Can't do any worse than now.... 15 years of recession.

Glad to see they are attending to the real issues in politics and not focusing on the rest of the country. As long as they are content within their house. It's been a few years since we've seen a good punch up in Japanese parliament. I miss that entertainment.

Yeah, the DPJ can bash Prime Minister Fukuda all they want, and pass a no-confidence motion to try to humiliate him as well, but the public has no confidence in the DPJ alternatives like Hatoyama and Kan.

The next election for the Lower House will be held sometime this autumn. The people can direct their dissatisfaction about a variety of issues like the pension records scandal at Fukuda if they so choose, but the DPJ does not have any better plans.

'Time of change', lyrics from a pop song of the past. Something more inspiring is needed to change the swing of the pendulum. Should Ozawa, himself LDP backbencher for ages, and his cronies take over? Are you kidding me? Nothing would change at all.

I have no confidence in any of the old robots they call politicians in this country.
