yeah, like NK is all ears...

Well it is Friday the 13th, what can go wrong? 3,2,1.

Seriously! What can they do that they haven't done already? When my fathe reassess away I'm going to launch a rocket too. There are so many different ways we honor our father's. Just depends on how much you love yours.

None of us met Kim Jong il. He probably loved rockets. When I was a kid it was the coolest thing to see America's space shuttle blast off.

Yet for some reason, some monsters here, want to deny the little kids in NK a little fireworks. Some people here think its a cool gag to take food off another human's plate. Food is a basic human right the last time I checked. Some posters are losing their humanity. You can t see how equally guilty you are compared to NK's own problems.

For any problem you list NK as having I can find it our own countries, Japan and America.

Launch your rocket young Kim Jong Un.

Yet for some reason, some monsters here, want to deny the little kids in NK a little fireworks.

The little kids in NK are starving, the only ones who will probably be aware of this firework are the privileged ones living in Pyongyang. The citizens outside Pyongyang live in abject misery, and hundreds of thousands are imprisoned in brutal concentration camps, including children. And yet you think these 'little kids' will able to enjoy NK's 'fireworks'?

Too late.

NK, do not cross this line...

Ok, really...so don`t cross this line...

Um, we mean it...don`t cross this line again...seriously..

That about the extent of the Security Councils power.

North Korea already launched, so now what do we do?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Too late, they launched it and nothing happened. If I were the US/Japan/SK, I would simply tell NK now that you have entered the space age, and have shown the ability to launch a satellite, you no longer need our assistance with food since your scientist have figured out a way to launch a rocket with an embargo of the technology necessary to do so. Now use that technology to feed your own people.

But I don't think any government has what it takes to say that and back it up. So NK wins this round.

Well NK launched the dreaded rocket......News reports are saying it was a failed attempt and that the rocket broke up and fell into the Pacific. All the hand ringing and saber rattling was for not. as NK can't thump it's chest, they must bow to the failure.. Japan wasted how many thousands of yen readying defensive systems for nothing. Now if the G8 would just calm down and send some food and medical aide into NK perhaps lives will be spared.. As I have said before NK is not going to launch a nuclear attack. #1 reason is they would be destroyed..#2 they do not have the technology to do so..#3 They would gain nothing from such an attack. Nk will eventually be pressured into joining the modern world via economic need...Isolating NK and being hostile toward any and all NK advancement only escalates hostility. This whole big bad NK rocket launch propaganda was lame.

Isolating NK and being hostile toward any and all NK advancement only escalates hostility.

This should be told to NKorea, not other countries. Nobody is keeping NKorea in the stone age. They are doing it themselves. As long as they can play by the rules, other countries are willing to give NKorea the tools to advance economically.

Gurukun, yes everyone should play by the rules but the rules should be the same for everyone..If one country is allowed to launch satellites then all countries should also be allowed.. if one country is allowed to build or possess a nuclear weapon them all should.. If one country is allowed to harvest whales then all should.etc...It is the rule makers that cause allot of strife in this world, they make rules to their own advantage and place harsh economic sanctions on others as a form of policing them.. Also if the rule makers decide to disregard any particular rule they do so under the claim that they are a sovereign country and will do as they please. It's pretty hard to get into the game, and even harder to compete when the rules you must obey are stricter and more oppressive than the rules the rule makers play by.

Steve, the basic rules NK requrires to abide by were set by the UN, not one individual country. These basic rules are not difficult to abide by. Do you agree that NK is justified to spend money on a failed rocket launch and keep its people starving and in the dark? If NK began abiding by these rules when they were first set in place and quit playing thier childless games, do you think any country would have a problem with them trying to launch a sattelitite? By NK ignoring thier starving people, keeping themselves secluded and going against UN placed resolutions, they need to be policed. It's like giving a child molester a job at a pre-school. I'm a little confused at your thoughts on this.

It's pretty hard to get into the game, and even harder to compete when the rules you must obey are stricter and more oppressive than the rules the rule makers play by.

Also, who is opressing here? What is so hard for NK, (and you) to understand that they must take care of thier own first. If they need help, then ask. But for any country to help, they need to abide by those rules. There is nothing hard about helping your own people. Any opression that I see, is in NK, and NK alone.

Looks like they got their wish. Rocket not launched. Back to trying to feed your starving masses, NK?????

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Nothing here yet about if the rocket launched, failed or what? Seems NK wants to stay isolated from the rest of the world! If they can't feed or help the people there that are oppressed and cannot get on board with the rest of the world, they should be cut off! How long do we plead and hope and threaten? Is love even part of any plan in NK?

This is an open and bold humilation for Hillary!
