President Barack Obama’s attire pales in comparison

Uhh, if by paler he means the shirts are 'whiter' than this colorful piece of work, yes. But seriously, let me get this straight. This is a Chinese company making a knock-off of the real thing and charging $500 a piece? Now that takes B*llz, which ironically Hatoyama himself could use...

$500?! Ho ho ho!

Hah of course Chinese duplicate it again. I wonder if there is anything the Chinese don't copy heh. Anyway I don't care what the PM wears its not about his fashion but about his job. Fashion is his own choice (or wife's heh)

There is no doubt his advisors make Hatoyama wear this attention grabbing trash to take a little spotlight off his multiple failings in his job. We can all only hope he resigns/is pushed after the July Upper House elections...

Didn't we see an article here a few weeks ago lambasting him for his lack of dress sense? And now we have an article saying his flamboyance is encouraging copies ... /sigh.

Apparently his wife helps him pick what hes going wear...that shirt must be whats in fashion in Mars this time of the year... and it rhymes...lol

Its a ploy to make people believe he is creative. He must feel like a clown wearing that.

Must of went to Uniqlo where they sell the ugliest clothes on the planet.

not entirely atypical of many Japanese geezers taste. Often the most bizarre combinations of colours and styles.

In Asia, I have seen many shirts, with all the fancy colors and prints. Smart PM and smart businessmen making money out of it. I am beginning to like the PM more and more. The people of this nation should follow the PM in being original and not supporting foreign brands.

I think back to former PM Yasuhiro Nakasone, who was something of a nationalist blowhard who liked to mug for the photographers while strutting in traditional kimono. For that reason I can't bring myself to criticise Hatoyama, who is making neither a fashion statement nor a political statement but just being himself.

It will be on the racks at your local Goodwill stores by next year.

What labels do you wear? Where do you shop?

I went to silly ShirtsMyWay.com and found nothing I needed.

Hahaha, well I am almost tempted to buy one so I can complete my Hatoyama Halloween costume for this year :P

It's a perfect outfit if you are or aspire to be a geinoujin.

I'd have one, just for laughs but not at $500!

I bet they sell.....5 outta 7 billion people.

goddog, you have either never shopped at uniqlo or have a personal grudge. Uniqlo clothes are famous for being colorful but bland - no design, except for the new UT series which is actually not bad. They would never sell anything atrocious such as this Hatoyama shop. It would be hilarious if he bought it in China and the Chinese are ripping off themselves.

they can say anything good with the shirt but at the end, there is only one purpose of doing it...commercial agenda.

Went to Design Festa in Tokyo recently and saw many Hatoyama t-shirts with "Loopy" on them. Maybe he should pick one up.

A breath of fresh air. It's wonderful to see the Japanese PM wear such colours. Hope it spreads throughout the country! Time to end the ugly dark and gloomy colours so common over here!!!!!

Looks like a cross between Oshi Koshi be goshi, benntton, uniqlo, cross colours and a throwback from the 1980's.

I guess his wife does his shopping....

Must be the latest fashion statement on Venus. The outfit is just missing a paper bag with holes cut in it for the eyes and mouth.

The colors are all wrong. The collar should be purple, the shoulders should be green, the front and the back should be blue, the sleeves should be red and the cuffs should be yellow.
