this post colonial aggression is an attempt to deprive 1.4billion humans of food and resources to survive...

China's large population cannot justify ignoring centuries old international laws of the sea or the territorial integrity of China's neighbors. China is forcing out fishing fleets of other nations in the western Pacific and South China Sea in an attempt to claim all the regions resources for themselves and at the expense of everyone else. Chinese fishing boats with armed crew members enter the South Korean EEZ, board South Korean fishing boats and beat their crews. Chinese fishing boats do the same in international waters. Those "fishermen" are armed by the PLAN and act as a maritime militia used to terrorize the fishing fleets of other nations in the region. They send naval units into Vietnam's EEZ to harass oil exploration ships contracted by the government of Vietnam to explore for oil within their legitimate EEZ. China claims most of Vietnam's EEZ as sovereign Chinese territorial waters. Look at a map and see how ridiculous their claims are. That cannot be allowed to stand. This has absolutely nothing to do with imperialism so don't throw that old nonsense out there. China is behaving as the imperialist in this case.

Why is it never mentioned how much it costs tax payers for each missile fired and how much it costs per km for these ships?

It will cost us far more than tax-dollars of China is allowed to steamroll the Pacific unchecked.

Time for Japan to build aircraft carriers. I look forward to seeing the New Akagi

The way things are going for the UK you might see HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales rechristened JS Zuikaku and JS Shokaku.

"Beijing denies any intrusion and says India has been building roads and other infrastructure in the disputed area"

India has been building infrastructure on it's side of the LAC. If China goes on claiming entire countries and territories as their own then definitely they will see a pushback, they should have seen this coming since they are experts in 'Art of War'.

INS Vikrant should be undergoing her shakedown cruise right about now. Too early for her to participate in an exercise probably but maybe she will make a cameo appearance along with INS Vikramaditya.

Cheaper than sunk ships, dead shipmates and smoldering cities. Much cheaper. If such exercises demonstrate the ability to defeat Chinese forces and deters China from initiating a war they are very cheap indeed.

I heard about this Quad thing, nice to see it’s finally being realized. I mean with China’s aggressiveness in the South China Sea alone, not to mention the border scrimmages with India, nice to see that this is happening.

Yes, all excellent points there. Especially the part about China now being the imperialist. It’s like I’ve said many times before, “two wrongs don’t make a right.”

Cooperation is always a positive thing.

Two football analogies, if I may? Go for it, team! Or, take the knee.

How is defending your nation's legitimate access to international waters a wrong? Explain that for us.

Nothing impressive!  China fought a coalition of 28 nation forces in North Korea 1950-1953!

This time the duel at sea!

Is China really steamrolling the west coast of America? The east coast of japan, the Indian sea or the perimeter of Australia in the Southern Hemisphere???
