Mr. Abe represented Japan too rigid to North Korea when Trump met Kim in Singapore, the same when both Koreas met at the border, the "strong" expressions now changed to "brand" expression. I understand the Peace Treat to be signed to next normalize the promises of denuclearization (dismantle seems longer terms) and table-talk about the abductees and other matters is much important than giving rigid conditions in that situation of both Koreas still in armistice for many decades. Mr. Abe should be steady to express the right words and not to change every moments only by checking Mr. Trump's actions. That's a bad image to Japan and he must know it!

Abe just wants in on the media attention, and is nipping at Trump's heels again looking for a bone. Forget that NK JUST said the "abduction issue has been settled" after Abe has vowed time and again to resolve the issue.

Lol this spineless brown noser is getting re-elected.

An Abe u-turn?
Looks like a hypocrite to me.

What else did you expect him to say? I mean really, even when Trump is threatening all sorts of mayhem over trade, Abe still is bending over to please him!

Kim is only seeking a partner he can pull a fast one on. Abe is playing it down the middle but the likelyhood of any significant breakthrough is minimal. The US got its hostages back and some remains of soldiers from the Korean War. I doubt Japan will get anything at all from Lil’Kim.

Does Trump's minion have a choice or a say in this? When Trump says jump, Abe says how high. When Trump says go down the bunker, Abe says should I walk or roll down.

Mr Abe....are you going to betray the 'Abductee families'? You seems have forgotton them!

@Wallace Fred couldn't agree more - this spineless brown noser is getting re-elected.

Even though a peaceful chord has been struck with NK recently, Abe &Co. want to keep attention on the subject so as to distract everyone away from the plethora of serious issues on home soil. Typical LDP strategy. Sad part is that the average Japanese citizen is so poorly informed, and so time-deprived that they lap this crud up!
