Japan's junior ruling party Komeito members eye China trip in May

Komeito has long adopted a conciliatory approach to relations with PRC. I would prefer calling it a 'head in the sand' approach.

This worked in the past when Komeito could be credited with normalizing and stabilizing ties between Japan and China, but will it work today with an increasingly assertive China remains to be seen.
