China: Takes over Islands not theirs and builds a military island

China; Exports Cornavirus worldwide which shuts down economies

China; Aggressively trying to control the people of Hong Kong

China: Taking land away from India

China: Trying to take over Senkagu Island

China: Spying on the world through apps

Just to name a few.

China, you have a good thing. Countries around the world trusted you to manufacture their products. But you continuously give everyone a reason to not trust you. If any country goes against you, it is yours and only your fault. So suck it up or start to be internationally friendly.

No one should welcome Xi. No one

11 ( +13 / -2 )

Have to agree with this. Isolate the ghoul until the CCP is no longer in power. Welcoming him anywhere will just encourage him.

Xi can come on one condition:

The ONLY topic to be discussed on his visit is which island he is to be exiled to after he is deposed from China's leadership!

Personally I recommend he gets to go to Umake jima, soon home to a few good men of US forces base.

There are a few delapidated buildings left over from WW2 defenses the renovations of which should keep his evil mind occupied on positive things for a change!!

If Hong Kong and China's general beligerent behavior isn't enough, their current antics around the Senkakus should be. Don't invite this dictator Xi to Japan.

It must have been long long shame if Japan welcomed Xi.

Indeed, we almost had to welcome Xi by political power of Panda-huggers, lead by Nikai.

We are lucky though, Xi himself has ruined this by Covid-19, Hongkong etc.

Of course I rather hope Japan stands against Xi even without Covid-19, since there are so many problems around him.

Street thug Xi, you are not welcome in ANY democracy. ALL democracies should cease trade and diplomatic missions with Communist China, and ramp up recognition of Taiwan at the UN.

Further, the Japanese gov't should step up its directives to Japanese companies in Communist China - eg Toyota, Panasonic, Canon, and dozens more - to exit China within the next few years. If they refuse, then hit their parent companies in Japan with crippling taxes as an incentive to leave.

No one in the world should welcome Xi.

Deny entry for all officials from the CCP!

Deny entry for all business travelers from Mainland China.

All Chinese embassies all over the world should be closed and kick out the ambassadors.

China is a p...n in the ass!

Dear Japan ,Stand up and say to XI........" NO WELCOME TO JAPAN." We stand with freedom and do not support dictatorship .... It is time ... The Japanese media is not reporting the border fight between India and China... China claimed Indian land and entered Indian territory. There was a fight.. 20 Indian solders and 60 Chinese soldiers died.......... Now China with draw from the area and run away.... Including USA and all major countries came to support India. China learned the lesson. Never try to bully India... India banned all the Chinese applications, Chinese products ( scrutiny) and people burned ' made in China" . Now no market for made in China in India. China lose billions of dollars in trade... ... Asia should unite against China... Say no to the dictator...

Suppringly I for once agree, but Abe needs something as a legacy. I hope the Emperor is somewhat indisposed if Xi (the president for life) visits.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Dictators are not welcomed in democratic countries. It is time to issue the bill to brutal aggressive Chinese behavior over the last couple of months. China needs to understand that enough is enough...

I would welcome a visit from Xi as long at the elected leader from sovereign country of Taiwan and the people's choice from Hong Kong are also invited. Japan has a golden opportunity to be a world leader in reining in the CCP.

Finally, Japan showing backbone. Better late than never.

"First. it has no allies, other than the US, but the US is more and more getting out of projecting its influence."

I'm not sure I agree with that. Japan has been doing a good job in the last few years cultivating regional friends. Recent naval exercises with the Indian Navy and their participation in the annual participation in the Malabar Exercises have brought Japan heightened stature. The JMSDF seems to be welcome in Singapore too. China is doing its unwitting best to raise the opinion of Japan in Asia. Nations in Asia fear China, not Japan and increasingly see Japan as a counterweight to China in the region.

Japan is in a bind.

First. it has no allies, other than the US, but the US is more and more getting out of projecting its influence.

Other than UK, France, Germany ,Canada, rest of NATO, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, etc.

Second, concerning human rights and transparency, its record is not much better than China's.

Japan should have made friends with neighbors, but now it is too late perhaps.

No it's considerably better than the Chinese dictatorship. How many minorities in Japan are locked up in re-education camps and used as forced labor? Please take your silly CCP wumao propaganda elsewhere.

If you corner the CCP they might be even more violent in their decision making. Talks and leaders meeting is one of the most important thing they can do.

China is already acting agressively towards other nations geopolitically using their economic power. They aren't exactly "cornered" now. Xi Jing Ping promised then US presidemt Obama that China would not "militarize"the South China Sea islands. Six months later they were militarizing them. Talks are valuable between parties who have credibility.

I think Xi should be encouraged to venture outside China, so he can be arrested for crimes against humanity (unleashing covid19 on the world).

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Under the current situation not only Japan but almost 21 countries where china has new border disputes should not invite or accept any visit of Chinese President..

"I think Xi should be encouraged to venture outside China, so he can be arrested for crimes against humanity (unleashing covid19 on the world)."

Unless there was an ICC arrest warrant against Mr. Xi for such crimes, arresting him while on a state visit abroad would be an unequivocal act of war by the country making the arrest. He has diplomatic immunity when traveling abroad. Only something like the ICC can authorize his arrest for crimes against humanity and even if they did, China is powerful enough to make the threat of military action credible. It's a pipe dream.

Japan should very much cancel the visit. If the US were better led and didn't have a President who holds the US many allies in contempt, it would cultivate among its allies a unified policy against China that included both diplomatic and economic isolation measures. Most US allies are as unhappy with China as the US is and for much the same reasons. A coalition approach would be very doable. However the world may have to wait until next year for this sort of diplomacy to emerge from the US.

I want absolutely nothing to do with China, but again Japan has to walk a fine economic line. It was the huge expansion of trade with China in the 2000s that really stopped Japan's economy from tanking. Xi however has overreached. Perhaps at some point the Chinese will start to realise how tarnished their brand is.

I dare the LDP cronies to kick out all Chinese nationals (aligned with the CCP) who invested massively into Japan, like what Trump is trying to do.... Or kicking out all Chinese workers and investors who have permanent residence in Japan, like what Trump is recently attempting to do.

This kind of stuff is disgusting. The CCP deserves to be isolated, but there are always people who want to turn against the Chinese people. First off, assuming all Chinese who invested in Japan are aligned with the CCP is ridiculous. They may work with the CCP, as they have no choice because that's who is in power.

Worse yet, kicking out Chinese workers and investors who left China to build a life here? There is nothing smart or constructive about moves like this. And as far as I know, even Trump isn't pursuing these methods.

Dictators are not welcomed in democratic countries.

Seen who Abe's entertained?

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Xi, aka Winnie the Pooh, is still the world second biggest economy's dear leader so it's not like we can realistically keep ignoring him.

If Japan plays its cards wisely, it won't shout out too much but still undermine China in every way possible behind the scenes.

Japan’s ruling party is US Secretary of State, Popedom.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Can't believe what I'm hearing.

I don't support Xi or like him, his terrible decisions speak for themselves.

But Japan should never turn it's back on a opportunity to have a conversation on improving ties, making sure they don't get even more aggressive.

If you corner the CCP they might be even more violent in their decision making. Talks and leaders meeting is one of the most important thing they can do.

No, they won't do it. It is all an act of showmanship for their far right voters who still believe in the myth of Nihonjinron.

I dare the LDP cronies to kick out all Chinese nationals (aligned with the CCP) who invested massively into Japan, like what Trump is trying to do. Or putting economic sanctions against China, like what Trump did. Or kicking out all Chinese workers and investors who have permanent residence in Japan, like what Trump is recently attempting to do.

Of course, not. Japan and South Korea are addicted to the Chinese market and bribes. Ethnic Chinese, with the CCP ties, have become entrenched and powerful in each country. The decoupling against China is impossible for them. Australia and Canada are prime examples of Chinese influence where ethnic Chinese investors controlled most of those nations' real estate industry.

People here should have a pragmatist, realist mindset like here. We can't destroy China for now; however, we can safely contain the beast until it is weakened enough. This is what the US is trying to do, while the EU sidelines to watch.
