Some dude
If he achieved nothing else, at least he's going out on a good note.
And he has to. If the USA decides to reset its progress by re-electing Trump, then the other countries will have to really get behind Ukraine to make up for Trump selling out to his handler at the Kremlin.
Mr Kipling
Unless Trump wins in November and tells whoever the new "leader" in Japan to end the support. Japan will obey.
smithinjapan
Except that he is also still supporting businesses based in Russia at almost 100% of the pre-war levels and still working on gas projects with Russia. Oops!
Fos
Any Us administration has smelled potential business in Ukraine, not only by selling weapons to Kiev and to all the European servants, but also prioritizing the interests of Blackrock and Goldman Sachs, like that Zelensky himself announces. And Trump knows it. It is all about Washington economic interests, and what Wall Street asks to the military apparatus, nobody cares about soldiers on the Ukrainian front.

What an obedient puppy dog Kishida is! He's helping the US with their proxy war against Russia. Good boy Kishida! Waggy tail and beg!
Legrande
Ok Kishida thnx for the memories too bad you lost the support of the people because you were more preoccupied with helping out the US than tending to the needs of J citizens we will remember u forever for sure bye

Shut this meat grinder down and start talking, there is NO POINT in continuing this madness.
Neither Russia nor Ukraine can win and so the only option left is to start talking.

This.
Allegiance? Sovereignty?
This is where he goes at end of term- Not to any disaster ridden place in Japan, but to kiss the globalists ring.
Buh-bye, Kishida.

Fact check:
Japan's trade with Russia has significantly decreased since the start of the Ukraine war in February 2022. In response to the war and in alignment with Western allies, Japan imposed various sanctions on Russia. These sanctions include export controls on key technologies, freezing the assets of certain Russian individuals and companies, and reducing imports of Russian energy resources like oil and coal.
As a result, Japan's trade volume with Russia has dropped. Imports of Russian oil, coal, and natural gas have been scaled back, and Japanese exports of machinery, automobiles, and technology to Russia have been restricted.
Dan
WoodyLee what do you mean no one can win? Russia already won and took the part of Ukraine territories they wanted to have, now Ukraine is trying to get it back, which will be never. And that's it, maybe you don't believe me now because of all the propaganda machinery, but you are going to, in the near future...
joeblack
Why he is so much worried about Ukrainians? When people at home are struggling with sky rocketing prices of every household item and rising taxes. They are playing advertisement that there are many kids in Japan who even can not have 3 meals a day and yet our leaders are worrying about Ukraine to appease their masters in America.
Have any body noticed that he is always on foreign tour? Doing what?

Rogers:
The world will continue to support Ukraine without him.

As I said earlier today, these are things that you can only say on a moderated anonymous internet site. If you said these things to the faces of real people, they'd look you as if you were insane, then look at their feet awkwardly, and then make their excuses and leave.
Sort of when Sergei Lavrov said that Ukraine was invading Russia and Russia was trying to stop the war, and everyone laughed at him.

Strangerland
Because Japan isn’t stupid enough to think Russia won’t start attacking other neighbors if they win in Ukraine. Japan knows they help Ukraine in Ukraine now or they fight Russia in Japan later.
Strangerland
The problem is that Trump's idea of ending the bloodshed is to sell out Ukraine's freedom, by stopping support for Ukraine, and giving support to Russia.
Remember, Trump likes dictators, not democracy.
bass4funk
God willing the GOP takes back the Senate a lot this will come to a radical slowdown, We can and should help Ukraine to a limit and not over-exert our resources and stretch ourselves thin, the first and foremost priority should be to the nation's first. You don't take care of your neighbor before you take care of your family.
Strangerland
There would definitely be a spiteful enjoyment from that.
Any chance to make any MAGA (more) unhappy should be taken every time always.
bass4funk
I agree, especially with Ukraine, that they will never win this war, so they definitely should contemplate setting up talks and negotiations with Russia.
ClippetyClop
If Trump wins and stops supplying aid & weapons, but Ukraine keeps fighting, what are you gonna do to make them stop fighting?
Trump will probably win, so you need to think about how to make Putin win too.
TaiwanIsNotChina
This is great news. Ukraine deserves continued support as along as the fascist invasion continues.
Fos
ClippetyClop, you hit the nail on the head!
Kudos for Japan Today to allow people to express their own opinion, as long as you do not insult people. Pretty much the opposite of what you said based on the majority of opinions on this chat. People understand that this war, as well as the Gaza and now Lebanon conflicts, are fought by the big Wall Street corporations of the United States of America, racketing billions of dollars by selling weapons and fomenting clashes and fighting all over the world.
Kudos for Japan Today who, unlike the biggest media outlets, again controlled by Wall Street interests, do not filter freedom of speech.
The only fascists and inhumane individuals I see are the likes of Blackrock and Goldman Sachs, already investing in Kiev while the war is still being waged against innocent lives.

Complete ignoring of Putin's role in Putin's War noted.

Kishi continues doing stupid things..
This time as the puppet of globalist US / EU giving false hopes to kyiv regime..
Kishi, focus in your country, not decaying regimes..
TaiwanIsNotChina
You're projecting: Putin is more likely to end up like Benito M. as they both led disgusting regimes.
TaiwanIsNotChina
Putin is also trying to eliminate the independence of Free Ukraine while stealing more of its territory. The apologists here ignore that with their bleating for negotiations. Putin hasn't been humbled yet so negotiations are not possible.
Strangerland
I don’t. Russia is too incompetent to win as long as the world doesn’t abandon Ukraine. Good on the Japanese for supporting them.
The sooner every Russian soldier in Ukraine is dead, the better.
konjo4u
He is the oldest candidate ever to be on the ballot, and it shows. This is the same reason Biden stepped down; his age is showing. Except that the decreased mental capacity is not as obvious with Trump because he never showed any to begin with. As more people find out that he is actually 78 years old, they will be less inclined to vote for him in a month.

Truth is we need Europe - the birthplace of culture and elective government, to step up and exert their own influence, and act independently from United States, the root of all evil in this world.
We don’t need the rotten capitalism in Washington waging wars in Eastern Europe, in order to place their own gas sabotaging (literally) Russia business, and selling weapons for the benefit of their own corporations in Wall Street. We don’t need America’s support to the barbaric state of Israel executing scores of civilians, children and innocent women in Gaza and Libano. Japan does not count at all, we just need to accept that, as long as they will be servant of their American controller.
TaiwanIsNotChina
Step up and back down from challenging Russia? Not sure how that would work out. Europe is more powerful on all counts than Russia but not unified.
TaiwanIsNotChina
Well you never know: Japan could be fighting Russia near Taiwan. Anything could happen when you give a rabid dog a bone.
Hervé L'Eisa
Throwing more good money after bad.
Historical fact: Khrushchev made Ukraine an inordinately powerful quasi-independent branch in the Soviet state in exchange for the support of Ukrainians in order for him to rise to power. As Ukraine was integral to the Soviet Union, it was primarily symbolic, like a Texas or California wielding large political power, but became a major issue with the disintegration of the Soviet Union.
So in summary, the current situation's root cause dates back to the rise of Khrushchev as well as the expansion of NATO into former Soviet regions (CIA/State Dept creep).
nik
The US gives such huge sums for only one reason. The US acts on the principle that it would not be better for Ukraine, but worse for Russia. No one will give such huge amounts of money for no reason. The US simply has direct interests in Ukraine. No one gives money to a stranger for no reason. Therefore, it is obvious that Ukraine is just a bargaining chip here.
TaiwanIsNotChina
Ukraine's territorial integrity is protected by no less than three international agreements.
TaiwanIsNotChina
Ukraine also does not want to be part of your horde state.
Fos
Including the latest package (another $375 million in military aid), the United States has provided more than $56 billion in security assistance to Ukraine in the conflict started with Russia in February 2022.
Once again it is not about compassion for Ukrainians, democracy or rule of law.
Washington finances the top five weapons manufacturers in the world (all Americans, go figure), and then manages to export those evil weapons all over the globe including Israel, to support the ongoing genocide. Hence the enlargement of Nato: to sell more weapons to countries like Moldova or Romania where net national income is very low. Moreover, by sabotaging the relationship between Germany and Russia - and as a whole Europa and Russia, the government of United States of America, Japan's ally, weakes the continent, manages to sell the shale gas (LNG) three times the price of the Russian natural gas which is better quality and does not impact the environment as much as the fracking process does. All these facts are comprehensively explained by independent sources and easily searchable. Now tell me what kind of sheriffs in this chat, or politicians do not understand the basic of sadistic and vicious affairs?
TaiwanIsNotChina
Shamefully low I know.
Doesn't really matter what America's motives are when the action is right and just.
Yes, the US is a superpower with a large set of alliances to support.
One a NATO ally and the other a clear future NATO ally.
Europeans don't want fascist invasions on their doorstep. This is more important than how supposedly clean (lol) Russian gas is.
The sadistic and vicious affair is the invasion and annexation of Free Ukraine.
Fos
I don’t know where you hail from, and frankly I don’t want to know, but it seems clear you either have been given a role on this chat or your mind is a tad confused.
Let us be clear: European citizens do not want the American war fought by US corporations on their own continent. And history says Russia is very much part of Europe. Without the Soviet Union Nazis could not be defeated and Russian have paid the heaviest price of all nations during Second World War.
That is History with a capital letter which Harvard or Yale education don’t tell you. Hollywood movies (Life is Beautiful one for all) make you believe the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp was liberated by US troops, whereas was freed by Soviets.
If you don’t understand the basics of these principles than you end up voting somebody inept: look what happened to the staunch supporters of Ukraine and friends of United States of America in Europe: Boris Johnson in UK, Mario Draghi of Italy, Olaf Scholz of Germany, and now Macron in France.
And outside the old continent, the illustrious Kishida administration and the shameful Biden.
What European want is peace but these politicians voted out by real citizens were following Washington orders for the wrong reasons it seems.
It is incredible that people like you justify the current US administration responsible of dozens of catastrophes and genocides around the world, driven by greed and strategic interests (only in recent times Afghanistan, Yemen, Gaza, and now Libano). Nobody today and I repeat, nobody, can justify the avidity and the deceptiveness of Washington. Unless you are created by their own Artificial Intelligence, which frankly is possible.
