Hong Kong should "continue to be free and open", under the 'one country, two systems until 50 years after Britain handed the city back -- the deal ends. China seems to not wish or honor what they agreed upon, otherwise there would be no disputes in HK.

Domestic matter? Xi Jinping, are you kidding? Communist China has too many issues since it invaded Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and Tibet after WWII. They should be freed. Northeast part of its proclaimed territory, aka Manchuria, as well. Those're not internal affairs but INTERNATIONAL affairs. International community shouldn't allow Communist China's expansionism.

OMG. Abe went to China with Japanese money just to urge HK to be open and free ? He really wasted his 10 star hotel and Emperor class cuisine, if that is his purpose, because HK is more free and open than any other places on the earth. In fact, it is lawless.

I'm sure China cares about Abe's opinion.

It's not bad for China to be told that the free world is not happy with what China is doing with their own people and around the world, even when the voice of concerns comes from a politician like Abe.

I feel Abe's words aren't potentially strong to be potential. China needs Japan industry not his lip services.

The Hong Kongers and the Uyghurs or even the Tibetans were living in The Peoples republic of China's soil! They must comply with China's law and order! This is a very simple common sense and obligations of a decent citizen should be! If they cannot get rid the memories or traditions of their past, that's their mental problems or psychological problems of idenity! China has been exercise enormous  patience for correcting their wrong doings and wrong understanding! please see what is real for yourself, Mr. Abe!

Free Tibet? Why? To return "The Hell on Earth" it was before 1950s?

Abe San knows what he is talking about.
