visits Ukraine with business leaders to discuss reconstruction

So Ukraine now means business for Japan, it's no more about humanitarian anymore.

Japan donated more than $7 billion to Ukraine

Money that should have been spend here in Japan. MY money. The money of all the working citizens and residents of Japan, and no vote whatsoever on where it goes.

And reconstruction sounds nice, but the truth is, this is just a business opportunity by the elites, created by the elites, that will enrich the elites upon the bones and guts of innocent Ukranians, Russians and residents of Donbas.

Japan doing good, and the haters just hate it, while their keyboards defend the thugs on the ground killing people.

Russia will pay for reconstruction. They don't know it yet, but they will.

By all means Japan should do what they can for Ukrainian reconstruction. Although restricted in terms of weapons they can provide other forms of help to a fellow democratic nation.

It's a pretty good bet that China won't be invited by Ukraine for that role.

However much you simp for Putin

This is the true sign or someone who has succumed to the narrative, which is a thin as the Iraq and Afghanistan War narratives were.

I never simped for Putin anywhere. I have stated several times he is a criminal and belongs in a cell.

But you have a desperate need to attack the messenger because you know in your heart something is not right with the narrative.

If you don't like it, leave.

I have also clearly stated that the world in run by corrupt elites. The phony votes here are a good chunk of that. There is no place to go. And too many people like you who refuse to look at the evidence and thereby correctly choose a side, which is not the West, Russia or Ukraine. Its the common man vs. these crud who only seek business opportunities in which they will grossly over-charge those lucky enough to survive conflicts like these even after they have robbed their own populace of their tax monies and raised the prices of everything even food.

2 ! Thumbs Up 4 Japan!! So far away Japan sends Hawashi to Ukraine to offer help the country to reconstruct after monster Putin's attack in February 2021. All countries in the world should follow Japan's great example!

Are you listening Monster Putin?

How about a peace accord first?

How about a peace accord first?

How about Russia retreat from and return all Ukrainian territory is has taken? Then there can be peace. Or are you just justifying Russia's invasion?

Wow. $7 billion from Japan. Many billions more from the U.S. and the rest of the world.

Seems the Ukrainians just might be milking the conflict along just to keep cashing in.

Either that, or Japan and the U.S. and the rest of the world are dumping huge piles of cash into a losing cause. If all these billions of dollars of aid are so effective, why haven't the Russians been driven out by now?

Either way, all we're doing is just funding the perpetuation of the war.

One more thing regarding Hayashi's visit:

For such a war-torn, conflict-ravaged country ... Ukraine seems to be getting an awful lot of visits from world dignitaries and celebrities.

It’s a little early to talk about reconstruction. I think we haven’t seen the worst yet.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi, accompanied by a number of business leaders, visited Ukraine on Saturday for talks with his counterpart to show support for the war-torn country and emphasize his country's backing of sanctions against Russia, the Japanese foreign ministry said in a statement.

disgraceful

Painkiller used bold too.

Already discussing reconstruction and the War is not even over yet. A bit premature, don't you think? Or are they privy to some information we are not?

Im sure Ukraine has things to offer for Japan. Its not just take and no give. No hate or sarcasm! Ukraine has many resources natural and human ones as well. Lets all get along, leave cynisism for puti and his team

Todays award for the least likely to ever happen event.

Japan donated more than $7 billion to Ukraine.

Not exactly.

japan has earmarked $7 billion to Japanese companies to provide things like Toyota trucks and computers to donate to Ukraine. Who gains? Of cours Japanese business and Ukraine gets some cool kit to be destroyed by Russia. Who loses? You and me the Japanese tax payer.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Who loses? You and me the Japanese tax payer.

No, this is helping an ally, which benefits Japan by strengthening alliances, and making the region more safe by standing up against a land-greedy authoritarian dictator.

All Japanese people directly benefit from this.

As does anyone not Russia for that matter.

Alot of their oligarch's assets have already been seized for this purpose. When they abandon Crimea in disgrace, there will be a lot more Russian assets available.

It's in Poland. Did he bother to ask why Ukrainian grain exports are blacklisted throughout Poland? (PM Morawiecki has said it is to protect Polish farmers). The same goes for the other four countries on the western border. Friendship, you see, has limits.

Taiwan, Russian will nuke any country, that transfer one ruble to Ukraine, why have they not been handed over in great numbers

A lot of cash being splashed around in this Ukraine war, much like any other that the RS of the USA are involved in. War certainly means profits where the dead become merely collateral damage. BTW, that's $7Billion of Japanese tax payers money Hayashi is giving away, does no one here mind?

Ukraine is involved in the war, too, and this war was NOT at the instigation of the US. There were no US tanks rolling across borders or US planes bombing. Russia is a big boy country and should be able to use words instead of fists.

Japan donated more than $7 billion to Ukraine.

Transparency.org lists Ukraine as the second most corrupt country in Europe. Only slightly less corrupt than Russia. One can only guess how much of this $7 billion will be ending up in shady offshore accounts or invested in London property. During the war there are even fewer checks and balances. A sad day for the Japanese tax payer.

Ukraine is a ‘black hole’ when it comes to money…zero accountability for any cash that Zelensky gets from donors’ world wide!
