That's his permanent office he is waving from.

Nothing makes that joker happier than leaving Japan.

I'm surprised he hasn't applied to study abroad yet.

Another jaunt. Was beginning to get worried he'd been here too long. Business as usual for Kishida A380.

Such an expensive and highly polluting way to ‘gain understanding’

At least the wife will get to go on some expensive souvenir shopping trips for the relations in Tokyo and Hiroshima…

Excellent news. Kishida is showing the world that Japan is here to do business with them and support them however it can. Kishida will down as one of the world's greatest leader due to his international diplomacy,. He ranks right up there with Gerald Ford, Margaret thatcher and Ferdinand Marcos.

Dancing to the puppeteer's new instructions. Abe was brave enough to push for better Sino-Japanese relations. Kishida is a coward.

However, the two are not likely to hold a bilateral meeting during their stay in the Indonesian capital, according to Japanese government officials.

Why would Kishida hold meetings with a mindless robot? Better to speak to the programmer.

LOL at the above comments. Both the Asean and G20 summits are vital for Japan’s interests. Every world leader will be attending both summits, that is why he is going.

Stick to singing the ABC song and leave the Diplomacy the Diplomats.

Gee, his passport must be getting full.

But I think it shows a willingness to look outside Japan and to accept opportunities that exist in closer relationships with other countries, rather than the elitist, exclusionist, jingoistic and myopic attitudes of past prime ministers.

Oh well, he is only gone for another 7 days, no one will miss him, I mean, he's has been abroad more than at home. He and his wife....and his entourage, look on these free trips as added bonuses and free PAID holidays ( do they take their wives too?) All these trips are just another scam and any talks can be done via Skype, Whats App. Google..or whatever.

Kishida, like it or not, is the elected leader of a nation that is 3rd biggest economy in the world and a founding G7 member. All these 4th grade level snipes about Kishida coming from folks who couldn't get a job as a clerk in any government.

Leaders of many nations are attending the G20. Unlike Putin and Xi, Japan is not a pariah and can openly attend in person.
