How about going to China to establish or reconnect the hot line to prevent any escalation of perceived threats?

My dog, it does not take them long to begin their world travelling, and I wonder just how many 'hangers on' will be going with him. But of course, they will all fly economy class......yeah! right.

In a perfect world, there would be no need for things like self-defense, and defense chiefs. In this world, those who refuse to prepare for war, are doomed to succumb to war.

Certain things are best discussed face to face rather than trust any kind of electronic communication. It is a lesson Japan has taught the US btw, as that is how Japan kept the US in the dark regarding their plans to attack Pearl Harbor. Face to face meetings, hand carried plans / orders and complete radio silence. The US and Japan cooperate at high levels of classification so such meetings are essential.
For security reasons it would be reasonable to use a government aircraft.
