Factions of Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party are suspected of failing to report political party revenues of more than 1 million yen in 2022, Kyodo News confirmed Friday, taking a further toll on Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

Japan's neo-feudal, two-tier "justice' system could not be more apparent.

During the pandemic I saw and read multiple stories of contractors and freelancers hounded by the tax authorities, thrown out of bed, had bank accounts garnished and goods confiscated by heartless tax inspectors for minor under-reporting of revenue just to survive, despite the COVID conditions.

The titans of Japan Inc. and LDP pols suffer no such consequences despite their vastly greater fraud and theft from the public treasury.
