What do you think Iraq will do with the money? Don't assume that it comes with no strings attached, Japan doesn't work that way. A greater part of the money will be used to buy tools, equipment, material, and consultants from Japan Inc.
Japan's humanitarian programs are more about corporate welfare than foreign aid. Iraq will benefit, as will Japan Inc, all at a cost of $100 million to Japan's taxpayers.

toshiko According to a Japanese friend of mine when you're importing foreign workers you are displacing those Japanese that earn higher wages .than those from poorer countries work for less and longer hours .so they can support families at home .
