Wow, this will sit well with the Japanese public. Maybe... You’d think that President Xi would wanna be on the ground in his homeland until this threat is contained. Wonder how well this will go down with his constituents too. There’s some very disturbing SNS scenes coming out daily that are telling a harrowing tale of a desperate situation , and it’s not quite in line with the CCPs state sponsored narrative.

It is a good chance for Japan to step into a collaborative and prominent role in the region though.

Prudent or risky? Face over facts? We shall certainly see.

The news is saying responses on the Chinese version of LINE, Weibo, have been very appreciative of Japan’s support and the sending of supplies.

Hope this COVID-2019 gets contained by that time.

+1, you would think so given he has basically spent 7 out of the nine lives of the CCP. Xi should call the Australian PM for advice, he was on holiday in Hawaii during the bushfire crisis and now his approval rating is at an all time low.

I hope Japan won't spend too much on preparation for the visit, because the chance of it happen is getting slimmer by the day.

Disgraceful Xi would rather be outside his sick nation in the worst crisis in 30 years, than anywhere near Wuhan. Xi has not even been seen anywhere near Hubei province, instead "meeting" health care workers 1000km away.

If this State visit goes ahead, it will confirm that Xi is no leader, just a weak, coward running from a crisis.

Maybe Xi is a carrier and intends to spread it among the Japanese leaders with this visit? What better way to disrupt a State.

hopefully the virus will be surely contained by the time of the Olympics. It would be a shame if the virus continued its rampage and the Olympics have to be cancelled.

Until a cure is found, it is better to cancel the olympics risking lives.
