Good. It takes two to tangle. A healthy relationship is vital for husband and wife. Japan and China must smash media hype of "frayed" relationship between Japan and China. With China, Japan will be 10 times stronger.

Hope everything goes well---it's only five years since hordes of angry Chinese besieged the Japanese Embassy in Beijing. The bone of contention being the Senkaku dispute.

More air miles. More losing.

Probably the most difficult trip for Abe.

With extremely different and opposing "view" of international and global relationships and with different needs and objectives, this will be an important beginning at this time for all Asian nations.

It will be not just interesting but pivotal in starting a much more serious discussions and negotiations between the two countries as the future path for both countries are on the line.

For both China and Japan, military and economic issues that relate to national security are of major concern and difficult to resolve as neither may come to agreeable terms with the idea of international relationships and globalization.

Having said the above, the rest of the world is concerned with the difficulty of reading and understanding the true motivation and intent of Chinese rhetoric and actual actions taken. The key to that being the word "trust-ability". So what occurs following Abe's meeting with Xi as with Trump and Xi (may be some months later) will make a difference for all Asian countries involved with China.

Abe just has to hold off for 2 years and then out goes baby Trump.

Exactly, and leave all the trumpists on this forum behind more desperate than ever... :)
