Gee, the Taliban has just banned all women from being in any movies or TV shows along with most other jobs and education so Japan is considering sending funding. Well, I guess gender discrimmination isn't a foreign concept to Japan so why shouldn't I be surprised?
Mr Kipling

Japan has been dealing with Saudi Arabia for years .... Why should Afghanistan be any different?

Yes, Japan, let's get buddy-buddy with the Taliban. In the meantime, this execution (and many other like it) just happened. Nevermind the millions of young girls and women left without any kind of future there:

As awful as the Saudi government can be, the Taliban are not even in the same ballpark. They are simply armed thugs who can put up a good fight but have no idea at all how to run a country, and no inclination to learn. Left to their own devices, they would all starve to death within a couple years.
Mr Kipling
Not exactly true, they have some smart people who know very well how to run a country. Maybe not how you and I would like to run a country, but they have a plan and are carrying it out just as very successfully.
