Victim time.

Meaning what? The victims and families of victims still suffering from senseless murder and war should not have a voice? And yes, I know "Japan started the war.", "There was no better option to ending Japan's continued fighting."........blah, blah, blah.

It is still useful to show those in power the potential, and quite real, consequences of their decisions. It is possible that shoving the noses of the ruling parties in the muck may prevent future muck making.

Meaning here Japan likes to play the victim card, whereas facts show us that Japan was running rampant in Asia as the aggressor, and needed to be stopped.

Why the world continues to play along with Japan's victim card nonsense is beyond me.

Thomas well said! I know you are Japanese, so I mean no disrespect when I say this but it seems starting conflict and then claiming victimhood happens to be a defining Japanese trait.

Hiroshima , which suffered the world's first nuclear bomb attack

First and foremost there is nothing anyone could say to convince me that the atomic bombings of Japan were necessary or justifiable !

However it is of my opinion that the first victims of a nuclear bomb was actually prior to the August 6, 1945 bombing of Hiroshima .

It's futile to disagree that the first victims of an atomic bomb was a top secret test that was conducted at 5:30am on July 16 in 1945 at New Mexico.

Although it's estimated that thousands of civillian people died in New Mexico , Colorado , Idaho and Montana due to the Trinity nuclear bomb test that held 13 lbs of plutonium and 1·5 times larger than the Hiroshima bomb, there's no data to evaluate the exact number of civilians exposed to the blast, as a survey was never conducted by the government due to its top secret clearance.

They called it a test but however it appears as if innocent civilians were attacked by it.

How on earth they expected to keep it a secret ?

Japan was running rampant in Asia as the aggressor , and needed to be stopped

I agree that the imperial Japanese army was running rampant in Asia and needed to be stopped ...

However bombing innocent civilians with nuclear bombs wasn't the only way to end the war.

Before the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki the Japanese we're aware they were losing the war anyway but refused to stop fighting.

It still doesn't justify either the USA or the JIA .

Both were never fully held accountable for war crimes and now their allies.
