Why don't they just ask the Japanese government officials to take a pay cut to pay for this? Billions can be made available over night.

Talk about one thing people like, raise no money. Raise a ton of money for something people don't like, don't talk about it.

Also, JGov has to waste more money than most of the governments around the world. So many useless, archaic, yet mandatory ways of doing things.

He decided last year to go ahead with corporate, income and tobacco taxes to cover part of the 43 trillion yen defense budget planned for the next five years. The exact timing of the hikes remains unclear.

corporate and tobacco taxes good! income tax bad. People already are struggling to keep their heads above water. an income tax increase is going to drown them.

Bro, you know that's NEVER going to happen. But heck, I'd be happy if the officials just didn't wine and dine at OUR expense. Even THAT would make a difference..

Jgov pay cuts, nixing the allowance they get to keep on top of their paycheck, dropping free travel and hotels, and backtracking the military budget increases for 2 decades

your welcome, I figured out where a good few trillion dollars a year to fund your birth rate “plans” comes from

People who wholeheartedly believe in accelerationism are the most irresponsible revolutionaries and deconstructionists. They are eager to change the status quo, but they have not thought about what kind of path to choose after changing the status quo.

Like building bridges to nowhere. Real problem is building a private sector economy able to compete Globally for HEARTS and MINDS. Shared global values & interests, not legacy stuff that destroys connection.

Given DX pervasiveness, it's all service based, so it's education to accomplish above that's really needed. Endless money printing never ends well, just kicking the same can down the road, while the collapse continues.

Consider, Amazon, 29 years old, total ecosystem system economic footprint, aprox. 2x Japan & rapidly growing, even with BOJ money printing madness & Govt. debt.

If you are paying for something, you aught to have a right to see it. You might be onto something, though.

due to multiple factors such as more people choosing to get married later in life than before and an increase in double-income households.

And yet racking up trillions more in debt and then hiking taxes later is supposed to be part of a “solution” to the problem of free people making free decisions?

What exactly are they going to spend the money on, and how will that money actually change the incentives for free people such that more children will be produced by them?

If I have a crackpot idea to spend your 3 trillion yen on my pet project, I would expect someone to want to see a cost benefit analysis or something, before you let me spend your money.

It should be this way for this big spending governments in Japan the US and similar deficit disasters.

Corporate Japan, like other corporate countries, created this problem. Single income families are vanishing. Young, predominantly blue collar families can barely survive now, let alone thrive to afford childcare.

The government wants both parents working to collect more taxes and companies want cheap workers with no benefits.

When government and companies have shared interests, the people get screwed. I say have companies pay up for the mess they created.

Just for the record, Japan has one of the lowest ratios of government employees per capita.

In America the baby mama can ,come back on revenge if the baby daddy dies, she could just about take all the money from the baby daddy estate, leaving the widow wife penniless ,the child by birth ,could be the only heir too the estate, because if baby daddy win the lottery, while shacking with the baby mama, the money is his alone, and if he dump the baby mama and get married, the money is still his along,if he has no will the baby mama can claim the estate for her child, the estate still has to pay the baby after death
