Looks like Asia's version of Hitler Youth to me.

Feel sorry for those poor souls. There future is not particularly bright in any of the most likely scenarios.

Isn't this like stating the obvious?

lol global? Can somehow explain how exactly Vanuatu's economy would be affected?

All this useless bluster for political points is getting old! Long-term foreign residents need to start voting so the political landscape can get some real democracy infused into it!!

That picture says all you need to know about North Korea and Fatboy Kim.

Clap clap trap the boys are marching

Little rocket boy is the only one who's smiling. Does one detect a glint of hatred or something deeply sinister in some of those boys' faces, not entirely in pure exultation of dear leader?

Keep scaring the Japanese people into voting Abe...

Or perhaps they've been standing there for hours and are trying desperately to hold it in. (A couple of them look like they didn't manage it. I used to hate when that happened as a kid.)

”Further sanctions on North Korea”

sure, Aso, because the ones you’ve imposed since reneging on promises to lift them, leading in part to the current crisis, has worked so well so far... Especially in the very same speech where you admit the threat has in fact grown!

Wallace FredToday 06:06 pm JSTlol global? Can somehow explain how exactly Vanuatu's economy would be affected?

Since Vanuatu is not what we would call a self sufficient nation, if the nations from which it imports necessary resources are affected, then Vanuatu would be affected. You're welcome.

FYI, attention should be on the prospect of Japan and S. Korea being N.Korea’s 1st targets. Rather than Guam. Reunitification of the entire Korea peninsula is primary on Rocketman’s formost agenda and Japan, has always been - N.Korea’s #1 historical enemy.

I'm slender like those boys and see that fat-guy at that picture(?), makes me feel him abundance of crap!

Is it possible that Japan, South Korea, China, could consider North Korea as helping to defend the entire region - perhaps an economic exchange?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Aso, who doubles as Japan's finance minister, stressed the importance of ensuring financial market stability.

so japans kobe steel scandal (another one) is already forgotten even though half of japans NPP's are effected, and Half of USA NPPs.

"the most significant geopolitical risk"

is he talking about trump?

the kids in the photo are lucky, they look like Waseda university students.

Well, seeing as I was being hypothetical, your point is moot. And besides, I know for a fact that no one in Africa will shed a tear when they cant get access to their new tvs, cars or micro-waves. Not unless by global he was referring to all the other places but Africa. Hmmm? Ridiculous!!

to otherwise steady and broad-based growth in the global economy.

It'll continue to do so despite NK. So maybe stop giving them too much attention.

Bill WrightOct. 15 09:16 pm . Reunitification of the entire Korea peninsula is primary on Rocketman’s formost agenda and Japan, has always been - N.Korea’s #1 historical enemy.

"Historical Enemy"? North Korea and Japan have never been at war with each other, as Japan did not participate under the UN Command in the Korean War. If you pay any attention at all to NK propaganda, it is the "Imperialist United States" that is North Korea's #1 historical enemy. Japan is a potential target only because of the US bases there.

Are you kidding??

Defend the region against whom? The "Imperialist U.S."? Japan and South Korea does not consider the U.S. an adversary the way China and North Korea do.

Reunitification of the entire Korea peninsula is primary on Rocketman’s formost agenda

Exactly! "Rocketman" is trying to scare the UN and US with nuclear threats into entering negotiations and accepting a Peace Treaty and Reunification under DPRK terms, i.e, removal of all U.S. military forces, South Korea surrendering and accepting reunification of the two Koreas under DPRK regime.
