Zoom in and one can see the purple tinge to his hair again...

Is he going to trust Trump? I find it hard to imagine how anyone could trust him, but then I suppose millions of Americans do.

How?
The entire Japanese Gov't can't even get the trust of the Japanese population.
This should be a neat trick.

Japan foreign minister keen to build trust with Trump gov't during U.S. visit
Hope he's practicing his crawling and puckering skills. The line to caress the Trump ego is all of a sudden a lengthy one.

I wasn't a great fan of Abe, but I have to admit that he was a master at sucking up to Trump. The gold-plated golf club, the Nobel Peace Prize nomination (and who knows what else). A hard act to follow for Ishiba.

Groveling, Japan Japanese do not know how to deal with Trump like Americans raise Japanese,no American Japanese politicians are groveling to Trump, especially Japanese born senator Maize Horono who always challenged MAGA

Japan will always grovel to the US -- whoever the current leader happens to be. Brown-nosing is an artform in this country. Beware of the tatamae!

The US and Japan are going to have a great relationship. China will do whatever it can to undermine that but will fail. Sensible Japanese (the majority) know that China under the CCP is the biggest threat to Japan. If you don’t know that, you don’t speak Japanese nor understand the history between Japan and China.
