High-level talks?
Can you imagine the technocrat of gaimucho saying something stupid like;
Eh, eh, eh, hay, hay, hay, hay wakarimashita.
High-level talks,humpf!

issa1,
I don't know why you are so sarcastic about this.
That diplomats from North Korea and Japan are meeting for talks is a step up.
Honest, open communication that leads to understanding resolves problems.
Weapons and military aggression whether actual or threatened only serve to create problems or make them worse.

i hope the Japanese guys chain themselves to the chair. Or else they may mysteriously disappear.
Yubaru
We're talking about North Korea here and you expect "honest and open" to be a part of the dialogue?

Can offer some technologies so that my 'satellite' launches can fly more reliably above you?

I don't know what they will actually talk about.
I'm just saying that good, honest talk is better than acts of aggression.
That they are talking is a step up from firing dud missiles, trade embargoes and so on.

Jpn asking NK to come clean on kidnappings is like asking jpn to come clean on ww2 atrocities, comfort women, warcrimes...not gonna happen, futile effort.
BertieWooster
So, cramp-san,
What would you do?
Nuke 'em?

North Korean leader likes Japan. I think if they manage the things in a good way, there is a big chance for then to return back the kidnapped people. Also they can be a future market to Japan, but better to do nothing until they sign an anti nuclear treaty.
