Japan and India are natural allies where they share common Asian culture, trade and principles of peaceful world. If China can sort out border disputes with neighbor countries amicably then nobody can stop Asia to become next world super power.

Kishida now has (or he son does) a chance to do more souvenir shopping and sightseeing.

Suswagatham. Wishing the leader from the Land of the Rising Sun, a fine stay in India.

Modi is more trustworthy than Kishida, that's for sure.

Modi doesn't deserve to be on the world stage, and Indian politics is a plague on its people.

Politically this may not be the way forward, The Government of India is dependent on cheap Russian energy.

If China can sort out border disputes with neighbor countries

This is more complicated than people may think. And the word China is also very ambiguous. ROC claims mainland China, Mongolia and Tibet, as can be seen in their constitution (e.g. article 26).

In some border disputes like with Tajikistan, PRC relinquished their claim, while ROC is opposing, and claiming that border as part of China (in this ROC).

And Kishida is already pledging loans to Modi

Japan Inc will soon be sending its troops to one of the most populous and polluted countries in the world-not envious…

Every sovereign country can decide/do whatever it wants, within the guide lines/auspices of the UN. So, Japan, and of course, America can too. If they just do it, without trying to claim/own the moral high ground. It will be more credible, and they will still be able to hang on to whatever little integrity they still possess. Before Modi was needed in all these big schemes, he was branded a criminal, for what he was accused of doing in Gujarat, black listed/sanctioned/barred from America, etc, look where their relationship is now??? Know what i mean?

Some of the folks crying foul over Japan's loans (which have to be repaid, with interest) and investments in India and other countries in the region to counter China are also the same folks who are in favor of the G7 donating everything it can to Ukraine - with the argument that its an investment to counter Russia.

Needless to say, most of these folks are from the West who view Russia as an enemy which has invaded a fellow European nation but have never cared as much about Asia unless problems from Asia spill over into their backyard.

No it will be the other way round if the Americans decide to pack up and leave, since India has the second largest number of active duty military personnel in the world.

Against Chinese theart, it is quite important Kishida encouraged India to solidate a partnership between Japan and India. India is one of the influencial country in Asia in terms of emerging- business and huge population. In my personal view, Kishida should be agressive to ask Indian prime minister to give benefit to Japan, because Japan support them a lot such as rail project in the past. I do not want him to compromise.

Kishi San forgets that INDIA is part of the BRICS, and India will never betray China..

India is just playing with decadent west and its boy errands..

Just carrying on the bromance started by Shinzo Abe. At least this bromance won't blow up in his face like the Abe, Putin bromance.

India sees the nearby India Ocean the same way China views the East and South China Seas although India has less capacity in terms of the economy and military to influence neighbors.

How much of that is due to criminal PRC not letting a single word be changed in the ROC constitution that could be construed as moving away from China? And since when did legalities constrain the PRC?
