Looking forward to Yamagami's trial, especially the case for the defense.

While the paper added that Kishida exchanged business cards with the leader, he said, "I do not remember what I did with the companions" of Gingrich.

Ah, the classic I don't remember defence.

His remarks came after the daily Asahi Shimbun reported earlier in the day that the leader of the Japan branch of the Universal Peace Federation was also present at a gathering Kishida held with former U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Newt Gingrich that year.

The Republican party is complicit with the Unification Church, along with the LDP.

Seems the GOP and LDP cannot get enough of these religions feeding their coffers and indoctrination their believers.

Time to get in new leaders who will remove their exemptions and privileges , of all to make it fair, and start confiscating assets for the public treasury.

Great to have lawmakers and prime ministers who are not briefed before major meetings and are therefore "unaware" of who they are talking to...

The stark reality is that it was revealed that Abe and the LDP were very thoroughly acquainted with and receiving massive amounts of donations/free voluntary labor from the Unification Church, so Kishida is nothing but another corrupted bare faced LDP liar who still thinks the public can be easily duped.

Keep going with it, Kishida, your ratings have dropped below 30%...

If he had said he was drunk, and didnt remember, I think people would be willing to give him a pass.

Man,Kishida is hanging on by the skin of his teeth.

Abe was allegedly targeted in part because his grandfather, a former prime minister, helped bring the church to Japan in the 1960s.

Sellouts to foreign governments and CIA and powers. China’s next.

Japanese Prime Minster Fumio Kishida said Monday he is "not aware" of holding a reported meeting involving a senior member of a group affiliated with the controversial Unification Church in 2019, when he was serving as the ruling party's policy chief.

Was he drunk and doesn't remember??

Keep going with it, Kishida, your ratings have dropped below 30%..

That's about as relevant as Xi's approval ratings.

Man,Kishida is hanging on by the skin of his teeth.

Not at all. This is a one party dictatorship

Silly man!

If they had just said was Soka Gakkai, all would have been fine.

You get the feeling like a wounded animal the press smell blood and are going in for the kill with Kishida. He is on his last legs for sure and for some reason it’s never the actual performance of these blokes that seems to bow them out, but always sort of scandal is necessary. Very much like the many underperformers in the workforce who feel quite secure in their jobs, unless they make that one big mistake. Has to be a cultural thing. The performance is somehow secondary and not of primary concern. Just don’t get caught doing something naughty.

When I met with former U.S. House Speaker Gingrich several years ago, there were many accompanying individuals and I do not know who was among them."

This , however is a straight up lie.. In Japan where the WHOs are more important that the WHATs and the WHYs there’s no way the PM didn't know someone on the entourage to meet such a high ranking U.S. official. If that was in fact the case ( which it’s not ) it’s also seems like a show of incompetence. The birds are circling mate, Kono Taro you up?

Let's be honest, nothing will happen to him.

-2 ( +6 / -8 )

"I don't recall" and "The premier has argued that he has no relations with the church as far as he is concerned"... ahhh, the convenience.

"As far as I'm concerned, officer, I don't have any relations with this money in my bag that happened to be stolen from a bank... which I don't recall."

Kishida says he is 'not aware' Unification Church member was present at 2019 talks

That's great, Kish. Then it's official. He has become 100% useless.

The L.D.P. is a puppet regi

-4 ( +5 / -9 )

Ah, the classic I don't remember defence

Was thinking that too. And was because it involved alcohol. So of course he doesn't remember.

Kishida needs to go.

First rule of Church Club...

Do not talk about Church club.

Ha ha !

is Kishida really leading the LDP?

Surely, he is duty bound to ‘remember’ ?

Surely, it’s time he retired?

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

The U.C. is a criminal organisation, it made extortion of money from the believers and other crimes like sexual assaults on female worshippers, those are well known. The L.D.P. did nothing to stop them but city with them for money to win elections. Now who has committed treasons here ?

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Does anyone seriously believe that the LDP has any genuine intention of turning off this bottomless spring of free money?

If so, would you be interested in sole ownership of the Sky Tree? I can give you a good deal.

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

The Moonies.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Dodging possible indictment, aren't you Mr. Kishida? It'll catch up with you...is just a matter of timely paperwork.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

It does not really matter if he remembers or knows who he met at the meeting. He is never in Japan to face any consequences. I am just waiting or his next sortee abroad to meet the Iceland prime minister to discuss a nuclear arms deal...........No, don't laugh, anything is possible with him.

So... Them monies still have the tax free benefits. I so want to start a religion... But then again, I hate scammers to the core.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

You can see his lies in his eyes...

Moon sect was bad news.

"My position has not changed even if there are photos," Kishida told reporters, adding it is usual for photographs to be taken during such meetings.

….

A leader that can’t remember meeting people?

Is Kishida becoming senile or is it too much jet lag?
