The rogue state of the USA and NATO have a big hand in the Ukraine skirmish, maybe instead of sending bombs, they should send heaters.

The US and other supporters of Ukraine are providing everything from heaters to radars to bombs because after the invasion by the Terrorist state of Russia, Ukraine needs a vast range of support. Australia earlier sent 70,000 tonnes of Coal to help power their coal fired power plants.

What is needed is for Russia to retreat from its illegal invasion and go home.

How about pledging heating for the 10s of thousands of homeless Japanese first! Charity begins at home!

This whole war is so crazy and pointless. Russia's logic that NATO is getting too close geographically to Russia is BS. If Russia takes land from Ukraine, NATO is actually closer than before. If Russia takes all of Ukraine, they still have NATO on their doorstep. No wonder Russians are refusing to fight when their country isn't under threat of war from another country. If Ukraine invaded Russia, it would be understandable that Russians would want to fight, but this is clearly not the case. The Russians need to do what they're good at and take Putin out. That seems to be the only way out of this tragedy. The sooner the better.

There are no cities in Japan that prohibit wood burning stoves.

I have noticed if Russia says it destroyed 80% of the power stations I will cut that to about half.

If Ukraine says that 30% of its power stations were destroyed, I would double that number.

I don't know much about attack drones but missiles fly just the same in winters, but from experience working on power lines in below freezing is far far slower than in warmer weather. As it gets colder and more and more power stations get Bombed the harder it will be to get them repaired.

Poland is going to need the real help as the number of refugees is going to explode once winter really hits.

Old fashion Non Electrical Kerosene heaters are great, if Kerosene is available, they heat and cook too.

Totally agree, Mark. We have that type in the kitchen with a kettle boiling atop and an electric heater for the living room.

This is a problem of United States and NATO, not Japan.

It is a problem created by Russia and is as much for Japan as any other nation in the world, who wants to help the innocent against invaders.

I'm from Canada I actually have lived in homes fully heat by wood it takes a lot unless the a slow combustion type.

I still use one non electric kerosene heater but mostly the more modern fan kerosene heaters which have no wicks and smell less.

You can also cook a meal on the non fan kerosene heaters. Done that before.

But they do need a supply of kerosene.

Some Ukrainians will still have power supplies.

The Ukrainian voltage is 230 volts so they can’t use Japanese electric appliances.

The hot patches are very good we use them all winter.

Rubber hot water bottles for sleeping with.

Thick Korean type blankets are wonderful even in the most cold of weather.

The biggest obstacle is how to make deliveries in a war zone.

Japan has a huge manufacturing capacity for them, they are inexpensive, easy to ship, and can be readily moved if users must evacuate. Japan can easily send at least 10,000.
